Celtics (4-5) at Mavericks (5-3) Game #10 11/6/21

The game was well reffed but there should be an advantage rule in basketball. Cs were robbed of two fast break opportunities.

Smart has actually played to his strength most of his time in this game.

But I am beginning to wary of leaving Smart on the court in the last minutes of the game.

i am asking for a rule clarificaiton here. why did the foul by smart reset the time in dallas' favor? i thought that after a foul the time of possession would not change?

Doesn't the foul when under 14 seconds reset the shot clock to 14 seconds but because there wasn't 14 seconds left it shot off the shot clock leaving Dallas with the last possession?

I believe it's because the shot clock always resets to 14 on a foul like that, but there was less time on the game clock, hence making it no longer applicable.

Yep, more mismanagement by him down the stretch. We had at least three awful offensive possessions down the stretch that we could've benefited from a timeout and ATO play, yet we ended the game with two timeouts to spare.

Granted, Ime's ATO plays have been junk anyways.

And why is Al not on the floor in crunch time? No Jaylen and he’s been playing outstanding so far this season. It’s a joke.

Yeah, I was wondering what was going on with that, too.

With how the unit plated, I'm not sure you can fault Ime.  I thought of Al not being out there, but this group played well to get the game winnable and I'm definitely OK with staying with it.

Sure, but they couldn’t get a basket at the end. Tatum was the only reliable shooter out there.

well that was disappointing....Luka just with ice in his veins.
There were 3 guys around him, not sure what else you can do?

One thing we can do is not intentionally give them the last shot of the game. That would be a start.

I was talking about the def on Luka after the foul.  Relax.

We are like the dumb teams Brady and the Pats always feasted on. Giving the opponent extra chances. Finding ways to lose. It is incredibly frustrating.

No issues with this loss. Or this entire road trip. The team is starting to come together. Hopefully Jaylen is back sooner rather than later.

ive gone to every home game for a couple decades (minus a couple) and half the road games, in miami still from orlando/miami b2b, so u r wrong…again

Yeah, these games have been more and more fun to watch.

Cohesion seems up. People playing within their roles. Passing, great teamwork on defense with everyone hustling and helping and switching and etc.

Loved it today.
