Best 3 and 5 team I've Even seen. Ime was just playing possum with those garbage teams we lost to. This is how we are. We give up about 60 points through three quarters.

Great win. In all seriousness does anyone think it's a good idea to stagger Brown and Tatum.  Let Tatum and Brown run by themselves for several minutes as a solo star.

Obviously try to keep one of the stars on the court at all time. Start the game and finish the game with both studs. In the middle let them do there own thing and lead the team.

If we're allowed to have knee jerk reactions one way, we should go crazy the other way too. Hell yeah

Need more consistency. But I felt like they are really getting a hang of it this time.

You gotta love the way Ime made Nessie and Romeo hungry by starving them of playing time.

It was a good win, it is clear that we need Romeo and Nesmith to score in double figures to beat good teams.   I doubt that happens every game, but I hope I am wrong.

Aaron Nesmith makes Dennis Rodman look like a sieve.

To your question, I think we need Tatum and Brown to be able to play their best together if we are going to have success in the playoffs.  To me, they should mostly play together (at least 20-24 min), stagger sometimes (12-16 min).

As to the game, yeah, it was a nice win but Miami shot 35%/22%.  Sure, we did play good defense but not great defense.  It was a nice win and did start to show the kind of team we can be.  I hope the team does not let this get to their heads though.  Ime can't let that happen.  We fans can overreact to one good win but the team shouldn't.

The ability to "stagger" Tatum and Brown more depends on whether Nesmith and Langford can prove to be dependable NBA wings in both play and health, IMO. Whether Smart and Schroeder can play well off each other is also a factor. If Smart, Nesmith and Romeo can be net positive wings on this team it greatly improves Ime's ability to use line-ups with only one of Tatum or Brown as a regular, standard course of rotation going forward -- particularly in the 1st - 3rd quarters.

It was nice to see Tatum realize he wasn't having a good night shooting the ball and try to then shoot his way out of it.

The question for me... Are the Celtics getting adjusted to the new defense with all the switching? Or did the Heat have a bad night?

I listened to the Heat broadcast before the second half ended and their analysts credited the Celtics defense for corralling the Heat.

Many Celts fans were saying the exact same thing after the two early wins vs the Rockets and Hornets.

I don't trust this bunch yet, players and coach included. The problems this season have been long-term issues with this group, mostly due to a lack of mental toughness, an inability to stay focused and play the right way over several games and the absence of hard-core competitiveness from our stars and the team as a whole. This group seems to, more often than not, play for themselves individually more than for their teammates or the proud Celtics franchise they are a member of.

The Heat game was the manifestation of how many of us thought our defense would conceptually be. Lots of strong individual defenders with enough length to make things hard for the opposing team.

I’m glad Ime played the bench more. For all this Romeo vs Nesmith debate, maybe the answer was  that both should get minutes. Maybe the rotation off the bench should be Grant, Romeo, Nesmith, Schroder (or Smart  ). Sorry Richardson
