If we are just treading water this year I'd be all for sending out some vets to golden state for either Kuminga or Moody. If Golden State wants to move on from Wiseman I'd be in on that as well. It's hard to see what direction this team should be moving in this early in the season. I thought we'd be coming out of the gate stronger than we have. My bad. I'm starting to ( probably too early) see this as a bridge year.

If a bridge leads out over a stretch of deep water and then abruptly ends in thin air, isn't it more of a plank?

Ouch! LOL

Cavs are playing well to start the year but I suspect they'd be fine moving on from Rubio in the right trade.  Obviously not a shooter, but the best passer the C's would have since Rondo, and I think they could really use that offensively.  He is expiring but makes a lot of money this year though making a trade harder.

Rubio, Windler, Wade for Richardson, Hernangomez, Langford

Not sure I'd do that, but something like that makes some level of sense for both teams.

No interest in giving up a single asset for Ricky Rubio. He is a stopgap option. Nothing more.

And not even that good of a stopgap option.
His efficiency, or lack thereof, is awful!
He isn't a shooter or scorer, but his teams are always a lot better when he is on the floor then when he is on the bench because he is a brilliant passer and a nuisance defender (i.e. steals and deflections at a high rate).  I think he is the type of player Boston could actually use as he is a better version of Schroder (who isn't a good shooter either).  Yes it is a stop gap, but the East actually seems wide open this year, especially as the Bucks struggle with injuries, the Nets don't have Irving, and the Sixers don't have Simmons.  And while I think Langford is a better prospect then either Wade or Windler, I do think both of those guys could be legit bench pieces on a contender.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

As I hope more a Beal and even more a Simmons (but it is unprobable the 76ers deal with us), I think the most propabable one could be, just beforedeadline: Rob+Smart++Richardson + Langford (or our first) for Siakam + filler like Watanabe. We could still go with a 2d after a D Wright/Rubio/Satoranski kind of PG.

This team would be great : Rubio/Brown/Tatum/Siakam/Horford with Schroeder(PP)/ buyout def SG/Nesmith/Parker/ buyout def big from the bench.
And for Toronto, Siakam is maybe redundant with Barnes and pairing him with Smart could be tempting. They also could build long way with Rob and Smart extension : VV/Smart/Anuoby/Barnes/Williams semmes to be an intringuing 5 for them.

Some players I'd like us to go after (in order of preference):

Simmons, Haliburton, Anunoby, Jerami Grant, Christian Wood, Siakam, De'Andre Hunter, Harrison Barnes, SloMo

red: probably a pipe dream
purple: not sure whether we can get them
green: possibly a realistic target
