Gimme your realistic trade target(s)

Cavs are playing well to start the year but I suspect they'd be fine moving on from Rubio in the right trade.  Obviously not a shooter, but the best passer the C's would have since Rondo, and I think they could really use that offensively.  He is expiring but makes a lot of money this year though making a trade harder.

Rubio, Windler, Wade for Richardson, Hernangomez, Langford

Not sure I'd do that, but something like that makes some level of sense for both teams.

We have an oft injured starting center and a 35 year old power forward/center who's playing too many minutes. We also don't have a 7 footer on the roster. Kanter isn't playing. I guess Lopez does us no good if Ime is going to play Grant as his only backup "big".

Does Pritchard maybe have some value for a team that plays less switching D and doesn’t have a backup art Schroeder’s level? We may be about the worst positioned to get the best from his skills right now.

I'd say he has little value.  More of a thrown in type.

This team needs confidence, chemistry, and play creating/making/dictating. Since the 2019 ECF exit, I’ve been calling for CP3 (before he was traded to PHX) and Lowry (before he was FA and signed to MIA).

We still need a floor general, who defends his position well. The closest we get to that ‘realistically’ is Rubio, Brunson, Brogdon, Murray, VanVleet. I’m willing to part with a mix of Smart, Richardson, Pritchard, and/or draft picks depending on who the target is.

Disclaimer: I still think this team can win if Udoka figures it out.

Siakam would be incredibly intriguing. A trade involving Golden State (receiving veterans from Boston) & Toronto (receiving Wiggins + prospect/s) would interest me.

Hield for Smart+ would be something I would do in a heartbeat. I'd also look at a Smart for Monte Morris+ deal.

If we are just treading water this year I'd be all for sending out some vets to golden state for either Kuminga or Moody. If Golden State wants to move on from Wiseman I'd be in on that as well. It's hard to see what direction this team should be moving in this early in the season. I thought we'd be coming out of the gate stronger than we have. My bad. I'm starting to ( probably too early) see this as a bridge year.

If a bridge leads out over a stretch of deep water and then abruptly ends in thin air, isn't it more of a plank?

If we are just treading water this year I'd be all for sending out some vets to golden state for either Kuminga or Moody. If Golden State wants to move on from Wiseman I'd be in on that as well. It's hard to see what direction this team should be moving in this early in the season. I thought we'd be coming out of the gate stronger than we have. My bad. I'm starting to ( probably too early) see this as a bridge year.

When all our recently-signed restrictions end (next year), we could do:

Boston receives: Wiggins, Moody, Kuminga, Looney

Golden State receives: Horford, Smart, Richardson.

That would leave us with an incredibly young roster.

The problem is the Celts really need Kyle Lowry from like 3 years ago.

In other words, if the Celts are something like the late-00s Melo Nuggets, they really need a Chauncey Billups (wouldn't hurt to have a George Karl, either ...). 

I don't see a guy like that in the league right now, though.  Not anybody under age 36, anyway.
