Good point. We are screwed. This is a joke what’s going on. Yikes.

This coaching hire could prove absolutely disastrous

What a shame 😥

In projecting how the team would perform this season, I was focused on the roster and the off-season moves. I completely didn't think there would be such a massive drop-off in coaching.

You sold Brad short then.

It feels like Ime is relying too much on the Jays this early in the season. I hope he trusts his bench more (Pritchard,Neismith, Kanter) in order to get them ready when the playoffs come around (if we make it).

At some point he's going to have to start playing other people. He probably still doesn't know his best combination. Apparently they haven't had as much practice time as Ime would like.

But the Celtics need to manage minutes and conditions. Udoka said they’ve adjusted practices so the heavy-minute veterans have leaned into film while the young players are getting in other work. For guys like Brown, who’s coming back from COVID-19, it’s all about being conscious of what his body can handle amid the NBA grind.

“It’s a balance,” Udoka said. “We had some slippage in the last few games because we aren’t having the practice time. Trying to get guys right physically. But you have to get out there and walk through certain things.”

Well, Danny did joke that if Brad screwed up the coach hiring he would end up doing both jobs. Would anybody be surprised if that ends up being the case in a year?

I would be surprised if that were the case. Boston fans and media are not a very patient bunch, so I imagine Ime's seat will only get hotter and hotter until the team starts winning as, unlike Brad or other non-rookie coaches, Ime has no prior experience to bank on, so he will only be judged on his immediate results, which right now are 2-4. And for all the criticism Brad got from the fans who wanted him out, he's a pretty tough act to follow based on his body of work.

But I have a feeling Brad and Wyc will be giving Ime a longer leash to make mistakes than the fans will though, and they are the ones who matter. So his job is probably safe for the year. I would be amazed if they made a change unless the team totally tanked and it became apparent that the fit was bad.

Still does not explain lack of execution in the ATO plays.

If is not like he can  bench guys given our roster

Hoping Rob recovers quickly, big depth is our biggest hole.

i thought the poor ATO plays as well. first, maybe we were spoiled by CBS. he is extremely good at those.

next, i am not sure whether it is the execution, the play itself, or both. if it is execution, then i would be more forgiving. i understand that having to learn a whole new set of ATO plays can take time.

it will take more time to know more on this.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

He’s coaching like he needs to get results ASAP. Unfortunately the roster isn’t that good outside a handful of players.

Exactly TP..Tatum & Brown can score but have no other help really..Schroeder can be very good with them but needs to start..Al is not same Al when he first played here…TimeLord is not starter material plus hurt all the time..Grant & Romeo are waste..Nesmith needs to p  look at more..Enes needs to start & Smart needs to go..team be fighting for a playoff berth
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin
