Celtics (2-3) at Wizards (4-1) Game #6 10/30/21

This game is all on Udoka. His team played with great effort, urgency and had some amazing defense over the last 15 minutes of the game but his decision to go away from Brown, go to an ice cold Tatum and draw up some God awful ATO plays lost this game.

Oh, and the refs played their part as well.

Refs definitely played their part.

But this is what gets me. Tatum is awful all night long, but the team goes away from Brown in the OT periods and relies on Tatum and Ime does NOTHING about it. Instilling discipline and making these guys play the right way was supposed to be what Ime came in here to do. But he's absolutely missing that mark right now. Just another truly poor performance by him.

I'm gonna wait too. Udoka is clearly too green and things are coming together. At least things are changing, bouncing back from Wednesday with more effort tonight. But man so frustrating right now.

Our whole attitude needs to change.  We were up by 6 half way through the 1st overtime.  We should have smelled blood and then just closed them out.  Instead we relax, get passive, wait for the refs to make bad calls and lose our edge.  And yes, our coach didn't do us any favors.

I mean at some point, doesn't our team just say, Jaylen's hot, lets get him the ball, it doesn't really matter what Ime says?

Yea, common denominator seems to be that Brown needs to assert himself...?

True. Some good D on Beal and some attempts to cut, wasn't as listless as previous years today tbh.

Maybe he should just be allowed to bring the ball up, I wouldn't even mind him jacking up some long 2 like his idol McGrady.

Awful coaching and ATO plays down the stretch.  Tatum iso ball in OT is no different than the Brad Stevens era.  Really disappointing.

What coaching just play everyone into the ground and let your star player get pushed out of bounds and do and say nothing.

but yeah, Udoka does seem to have short rotation....ha ha ha...are we now longing for the days of CBS when he would play 10 deep each night?? 

Why do you think coaches like Phil Jackson, Doc, Pop, etc... Work the refs and get fined and techs? They don't do it cause it doesn't work. They also do it to signal that they have players' backs!

Coach did say he doesn't want any more complaining. Him being more of a hard-butt helps I guess. Hopefully as the team wakes up, he does end up protecting his guys...

It was a crap show. Refs were really bad. That review was just stupid. Tatum was fouled twice before the play on the ball. I can just play the starters all game too. It's dumb. They keep running out of gas. Why did Romeo, Grant, and Parker play so little? We need another Center!!!

I think it's safe to say after two games head to head so far, the Wizards are better than us. Dinwiddie and Beal are a tough duo, and the team overall moves the ball well and plays hard on D.

Regretfully Tatum has only made a pedestrian 60 shots

Truly awful start to the season.

I think it's safe to say after two games head to head so far, the Wizards are better than us. Dinwiddie and Beal are a tough duo, and the team overall moves the ball well and plays hard on D.

Better coach. How does it take almost two full games before you start going at Harrell on D?? Ime needs to stop looking at notes and pay attention to the game.

Tatum needs to stop whining. It is so obvious that his tactics to get the refs attention simply just don’t work, and it gets into his head. Just focus on playing the game, like JB.

He's getting clobbered and Ime is sitting on his hands. Kuzma pushed him OTB's with no call as Tatum was saving the ball. There is no way a real ref could miss that call.

 Why are we sure it was Udoka calling plays for Tatum at the end and not just Tatum going for it?

Honestly, I cant watch the game action and see the coach calling plays
