This game is all on Udoka. His team played with great effort, urgency and had some amazing defense over the last 15 minutes of the game but his decision to go away from Brown, go to an ice cold Tatum and draw up some God awful ATO plays lost this game.

Oh, and the refs played their part as well.

C's played hard, but the game was fixed imo. Hard to beat the refs when they are calling light fouls on one end and ignoring heavy fouls on the other.

It's too bad, this is why i don't watch any non-C's games anymore. This league is ridiculously corrupt.

This one's on Udoka and Tatum.

Absolutely.

With the caveat that it has only been six games (which is admittedly a big caveat), I'm starting to question whether Ime has the chops for an NBA head coach gig. His in-game management seems even worse than Brad, yet he doesn't seem to come with any of other Brad's skills like gameplanning, ATO play calling, etc. He hasn't really shown me anything in his performance yet to suggest otherwise.

Perhaps he can develop into it, but he has been super bad thus far.

TATUM KNOCKED TO THE GROUND NOOOOOO CALLL!!!!!

ARE YOU KIDDING MEEEEEE!!!!!!!

20 games.

I'm gonna wait too. Udoka is clearly too green and things are coming together. At least things are changing, bouncing back from Wednesday with more effort tonight. But man so frustrating right now.

Our whole attitude needs to change.  We were up by 6 half way through the 1st overtime.  We should have smelled blood and then just closed them out.  Instead we relax, get passive, wait for the refs to make bad calls and lose our edge.  And yes, our coach didn't do us any favors.

I mean at some point, doesn't our team just say, Jaylen's hot, lets get him the ball, it doesn't really matter what Ime says?

Awful coaching and ATO plays down the stretch.  Tatum iso ball in OT is no different than the Brad Stevens era.  Really disappointing.

What coaching just play everyone into the ground and let your star player get pushed out of bounds and do and say nothing.
complaining to the refs would have done nothing.

but yeah, Udoka does seem to have short rotation....ha ha ha...are we now longing for the days of CBS when he would play 10 deep each night??  ;D

Wizards are just simply better and have better players.
Celtics are not very good.

Hey an optimistic way to look at this.

The main problem last year is there was no effort, urgency and defense. Good scheming and ATO last year, just complete swing the other way this year lol.

Edit: maybe not complete swing but some signs of life, cos effort was crap too for first few games lol

Tatum was 2-7 in those overtimes and that final brutal turnover. Brown was 0-3 (that last strip counts as a blocked three apparently). I'm just not sure why we have to continue to force the ball into Tatum running the offesne with brown spacng to the corner. I get it, Tatum is a better offensive player than Brown. But the difference is not so large that if Brown is playing well and Tatum isnt.... Tatum shouldn't be taking 8 more shots than Brown.

Just a frustrating loss. Up 6 in the OT and just played horrible offensively after that.

Also 47 minutes for Brown, just 48 hours untill Bulls game on Monday. Probably means he's gonna struggle.

agreed and a tp. a half court heave by harrell and going 0-20 on 3s killed this team.

the effort was there, unlike last game. that is a step forward.

Yea, common denominator seems to be that Brown needs to assert himself...?

Definitely waiting this out. Team has more fight than last year IMO.  2 double OT losses go the other way and they are 4-2.   When they had the ball up 6 in the first OT it was time to close the door -- they couldn't.  Brutal loss.

Why do you think coaches like Phil Jackson, Doc, Pop, etc... Work the refs and get fined and techs? They don't do it cause it doesn't work. They also do it to signal that they have players' backs!
