Al Horford on the Celtics lack of energy: "We need to be committed to preparing and working before the games. We have to be better at that."

Ugh, even Al calling out the lack of focus and intensity beforehand. Just ridiculous. The historically stable and high character Celtics organization clearly has a culture problem.
Sounds like Players are running the asylum. Ime getting no respect from any of those guys. Seems like he has already lost the team.

The coach can control how hard players play with his use of controlling minutes. That's what top coaches do. Bench guys who aren't playing hard. Schroder is playing his ass off. He should start. This isn't rocket science Ime!

That's what it seems like. He doesn't stand up for his players with the refs. He doesn't bench players not playing hard. DO YOUR JOB!!!

Ime Udoka: "Our intensity and focus wasn't there from the start."

He said he actually got on the Celtics a lot at shootaround because he didn't like the focus there earlier today.

I mean - yikes. We're five games into the season, and I think he's said this same sort of thing about three of the games thus far? This looks more and more like a culture problem with the young guys. You'd think a strong guy like Ime would potentially help it out, but thus far it's not been working and he's been as passive as Brad in the games.

There are consequences to not holding your guys accountable, and this is the exact thing that many of us on here have been nagging about for years with the previous soft coaching staff.

yikes is right! now we’re hearing the same from Al. this is worse than we thought.

if this doesn’t change quickly, i predict (and hope for) a major trade by brad before the deadline.

Shroeder should start anyway…he is better than Smart.

Clearly. He plays hard the whole game as well. Smart is entitled because he makes a few highlight plays at the end of games he thinks he's better than he is. If he's the heart and soul were is the heart and soul on the court? No heart, no soul!!!

What would it take to trade for Desmond Bane? He’d be a good fit here 😃

Told y’all team was soft..only a soft team will allow an opponent to burn sage around their court, and not even say a thing. Allow that same player to stamp on their logo, and not a word. Soft team, soft GM, now soft coach.

Tatum's probably already preparing to join Beal in DC
