Did anyone player harder than Payton Pritchard against The Raps?

Pritchard played his ass off against the raps last night if the rest of the team could match his intensity we'd be OK

Everyone started the gane playing hard then it fell apart. Most was on Tatum, Brown and Smart to be honest. Brown's body language and effort went down after missing a few shots. Tatum got into it with the refs. Smart got into a stink when other guards were in because he was too trigger happy. Everyone was flat-footed and gambling on steals at the three point line. Also half the fouls were cheap swipes at the ball which they don't need to do against a bad shooting club. That's including PP. The coach needs to work on a lot of bad habits.

I suggested only 5 on 5 drills to build chemistry and better execution.

Payton pushed the ball up court every time he had the opportunity.  Tommy would have loved it.  Unfortunately, after passing the ball off to someone else he very rarely got the ball back for a decent shot.  He wasn't great last night on D but I agree he worked his ass off.  Lucky his mask stayed on. I like him as our backup point at this stage of his career.

My question is what are his major weaknesses that keep him off the court ?
I assume it’s defense right?
Because I don’t notice him making a ton of bad plays on offense

He has the confidence level of Brown and not scared of the moment .  And like Jalen plays hard 100 % of the time. 

He makes the most with what he has to work with , he is not a slacker.

It is definitely defense. I have seen 2 or 3 matador plays over the first 2 games. Kemba Walker gave his body up to take charges but Pritchard just stepped out of the way.

definitely agree about PP. i also thought rob played hard in both games.

Not like he has a choice to play hard, that is his path on the court.

The box out he got clobbered on with no call and him stopping the breakaway by slapping the ball away stood out to me but he just played with great energy.

He has good energy but he’s pretty bad on defense even when he tries. He just doesn’t have the physicality, agility or size to consistently stop guys.

He’s solid on offense though and I think the team would be better off if he had more willingness to shoot. He’s better off as a SG in my opinion, but that exposes him even more on D.

Yeah I think overall if he played more his positive impacts on offense would outweigh his defensive shortcomings.

It’s not like our defense is so amazing without him.
