Come on, guys! Stop getting sloppy with the ball!

And for God's sake, can we stop putting Grant on Randle?
This is why I said team needs a defensive PF that is at least 6'8 and can switch. Grant is too small for some 4s/5s

As we take this timeout, can we appreciate for a second how much of a boon Smart is defensively? In the few possessions he was involved in, he blew up the 2-man games the Knicks were trying to play because he can switch onto quick bigs or any type of guard. Just some good subtle stuff that will never make highlight reels or the box score.

His playmaking is kinda sus though.

yeah he blew up his own good plays by being a knucklehead and going for the football pass to a double covered Nesmith

at some point you need to take what the def gives you and not force bad passes.

Thank you for pointing that out -- I missed what he was doing.  Didn't think he played Rose well when he was on him, but glad you pointed out what you did.

Who did randle bully

Take a guess
Randle can do wonders when he's allowed to shove off to create space.

Be helpful if Tatum could hit a shot. I’m sure he will later in the game, but killing us now

Hopefully the open shots fall soon. He’s getting good looks

Tatum's shot has looked like crap all preseason and again today.  needs to get untracked.  can't have Jaylen as our only player that can go off for 20+ each night
Feels like Tatum always starts season off slow. Remember he was sort of like that last year too and the year before.

good timeout - started jacking up 3's with little ball movement.

This team has to remember what got them the open 3's taken in rhythm (ball & player movement) and not just start shooting early in the clock because we have made a few. Takes maturity to learn that (and hopefully a coach who recognizes it).
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

Need to see o-reb stats after a few games. We're getting quite a few of those in the preseason.

Lauren Holtkamp may legitimately be the worst ref in the league. Never liked her.

Can we get Grant out of this game? He’s contributing nothing right now…

One of my biggest fears in the offseason with this roster was if Tatum or Brown are off, who steps up the scoring. So far, this is a legitimate concern. Offense is not good right now and no one can generate their own offense.

Okay, Ime. Time to try someone else on Randle. Just put Smart on him. GWill is killing us. At least Smart makes it hard for him.
