John Hollinger released his season ending awards, and selected Jayson Tatum FIRST TEAM ALL NBA!!!!!

He is usually critical of Celtics so this is a good harbinger for Tatum getting selected first team.  He had both Joker and Embiid firs team as well.

Justin Kubatko: The @Boston Celtics have won 27 of their last 33 games, outscoring their opponents by 502 points over that span. Only three teams in NBA history have recorded a larger point differential over a 33-game, single-season span: ✅ 1970-71 Bucks ✅ 1971-72 Lakers ✅ 2015-16 Spurs. pic.twitter.com/sTddwu60Mp – via Twitter jkubatko

Win or lose this season, it's been a nearly unprecedented run.

These are two top teams so in that regard it makes sense but this is lining up to be a rest game for both teams.  This could end up being no better than a summer league game.

The Celtics signed Juwan Morgan to a two-year NBA contract, with next year non-guaranteed.

Guess they've liked what they've seen

This may be a jabari type, prove yourself in training camp contract?

I may be crazy, but I’m starting to wonder if Hauser isn’t a Strus-level role player. We know he can shoot. His defense I think is good enough for him to be playable.

They seem to be very high on him as they immediately signed him to a 2 way deal. Hopefully he breaks the rotation next year.

I think he can be a pretty neat player actually. The way he shoots reminds me of Ryan Anderson from a few years ago. Every shot looks clean

i watched him on the Red Claws this year. His defensive rotations were solid. He has a decent BBIQ. Just needs the playing time to figure it out on the C's. The tools are there to contribute as a solid bench player.

No, Jabari had a lot more guaranteed if he made the roster.  This isn’t even of that level.  It’s more of a summer league invite.

Yeah, the immediate benefit of this is to allow Morgan on the playoff roster, while also getting a free look at him in summer league / camp next year.

Grant Williams led the Celtics in 3-point shooting all year.

From October until this morning.

Payton Pritchard caught him on the final night of the season.

2021-22 CELTICS - 3-POINT SHOOTING
1. Payton Pritchard    41.22%
2. Grant Williams       41.09%

One of the positive by-products from the deadline trades, Pritchard figures to be a fixture in the playoff rotation

“We’re not trying to dodge anybody,” said Payton Pritchard after the game. “We believe in ourselves. Go in and whoever we play, we’ll be ready.”

“No matter who we match up with, I’ll take us versus anybody,” Brown said.
