watched on tape delay.  tonight's hot takes:
-  Romeo and Grant both looked really good tonight.  This is the GWill I was hoping for last year.  Romeo will be making all people here claiming he's a bust eat crow.
- Tatum's passing and facilitating looked solid.
- Smart is not our answer at starting PG.  Schroder's absence was noticeable in that regard.
- Al looked like he did during his first tour with us.
- Timelord looks to have regressed from last season.
- Kanter is not looking as good as he did during his last tour with us.
- Jauncho is really growing on me.
- Richardson needs to work on his offense.  People claiming keeping Fournier was the smarter move will be looking smart by the end of the season if Richardson doesn't make a major improvement in his game

Raptors got most of the calls...Good move by Ime to put Hernangomez in the game....He is solid. This team really likes each other. Timelord aint jumping like in the past-maybe that's the plan to keep him healthy. Hauser almost blew the game on his own. Way too many offensive rebounds given up towards the end.

Fournier is obviously better. That's why he gets $20m a year and Richardson gets $12m

and here i thought is was making judgements on players after a pre-season game.

Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Sure. But it is a huge factor into who was the "smarter move"

I am glad they are doing well but they have to maintain it and do continue to do it.  It really is do or die for them.  I definitely would not mind being wrong on them but it is early.

I am not sure if players are looking for Rob, the new offense doesn't or if other teams are aware of Rob.   I just hope he is not pulling a Mark Blount on us.

I wonder if the new jump less Rob is part of the coaches strategy to keep him on the court.   I also noticed Nesmith is playing more controlled too.

I thought we looked far less sloppy than the first game which was terrible, but we still have a ways to go.

Kanter moves like molasses on a freezing night .   Mr Freeze Frame .  Smh

Grant is back playing like his early self ,  he just isn’t active enough when heavy .

I like the Nesmith - Langford competition for coaches eye….Romeo not going away yet . Fun stuff.

Yeah, it's not intentional but I bet only one of these guys is with the team in the long run.  Romeo showed how he has a good feel for the game.  Aaron needs to continue to use his athleticism (on both O and D) which  I think is his best asset.

My observations/questions:

Kanter really is as bad on defense as everyone was saying.  When a pick and roll is set up, he sags like halfway to the basket.  He is not switching, not doubling, just leaving the other defender hanging out to dry.

I don't know what is up with Parker.  The little he played, he didn't play that well.  And most of the time he was out there, he was actually at wing, not PF.  Not clear what the plans are for him (if any).

Richardson to me looked a little better.  More active.  I liked the couple of midrange shots he created/made and also like that he was able to get to the hoop.

Moses Brown, Mr. 20/20.  RWilliams has not done that in a week.  I don't know what is up with Williams so far this off season.  I agree that he gets very overrated at times but I don't expect him to be as bad as he has been in these two games.

Agree 100 on Jabari. He probably has negative trade value...

Juancho with Grant as backup are the guys now.

You have to remember that his contract is non-guaranteed.  So far, only $100,000 of the $2.3M is guaranteed.  He could be traded to a team that has excess players on their roster and then cut, saving money.  There are a number of teams that have extra players and some cutting is going to be happening.  Or the Celtics could just cut Parker themselves and sign someone to fill the slot with a min contract.
