CP3 has shut the building down.  Old man still got it.

Was just going to write that. 30pts, 10ast, 7rebs… Not bad for a guy who will be turning 37 in a few weeks.

Hoping Big Al does the same and remain very productive the next 2 yrs.

after seeing the Warriors game 1, I don't think Phoenix, or anyone else in the West, can handle them...

The wild bunch (GS) against the structured machine (Suns), but GS is wild with excellent defense...and endless fire power.

Only a Robert Williams infused Celtic team can stop the Warrior this year.

I honestly think the West is just a 2 team race. No way the other pretenders will make it out .

But I also think between GS and PHX, it will boil down as to who is the healthiest team... GS has been marred from getting the 2nd seed because of injuries so if both are healthy come WCF... it will be a wicked series.

Christ DeMar, don't jinx yourself. You're starting to sound like a certain player who shall not be named in the 2019 playoffs.

Also I would like to say that I was totally right in thinking DeFrozen was gonna choke in yet another playoffs series.
He's always suffered against teams that have time to hone in on him. Especially long athletic teams, which Milwaukee are

Lakers nation desperate to unload him , Lecheat wants him gone , the Lakers owners are about to tear their hair out …..it’s a comical circus to watch unfold.

Westbrook isn’t leaving that money ,  because people are bad mouthing him ,  sure for that money they could pay me to stick it out another year .   I think he will…..cause it’s his last big check before heading overseas .

I don’t think with that contract it’s probable

If Lakers want to be shed of him,  the’ll have to pull Josh Smith dump and buy him out and I think the Laker nation  ARE that desperate 100%.

Doesn't seem like much given the emotion of it all, but in the interest of packing up the day, the Celtics walk-off win in Game 1 broke a tie with the Spurs atop this list...

Lakers in full on denial mode thinking they can get someone better or healthier than Hayward.

Could this also be a cover up by the Lakers? I'm still not as convinced the Hornets actually covet Westbrook and you need two sides to make a deal

Certainly could be the case as well.  I wouldn't call that trade dead though, not with Jordan running the Hornets.  It was never likely to be completed at all and probably not until after free agency starts if it is, but on some level it also makes some sense for both teams and that is why I think it still has a chance of getting down.

The Lakers would absolutely jump on a Hayward trade for Westbrook. This is a smoke screen.  Hope the Hornets don't bite.

Yeah the Lakers would absolutely take this deal (Westbrook for Hayward). I just wonder if Charlotte would, or if they would what else would they want back? There's no way they would do a straight swap, they'd need at least 2 other assets (pick and/or young player) back since Westbrook's deal is that bad. There could be other teams who covet Hayward in trade too

Agree. They can get a better deal elsewhere. Maybe Indy. Or a fringe contender who doesn't mind taking a risk.

The purpose of trading Hayward would be to dump his contract though.  Perhaps also clearing out Rozier, to clean up the Hornets cap and allow them one more shot at free agency in the summer of 2023 before Ball's max extension kicks in.  Hayward is obviously not the right player for them.  So they'd move him this summer for expiring contracts to clear the deck in 2023.
