I like Deandre Hunter a lot. If he were ever available, I'd love to see him in green.

Hawks getting destroyed so far. Wonder if this looks less bad with capela. The hawks did finally start to look like themselves the last month of season. Heat could be a legit style of play for playoffs

Heat are legit. Completely under rated by people on CelticStrong. Absolute contenders.

I am sold on their main five guys (Lowry, Herro, D.Robinson, Jimmy Butler, Adebayo). I believe those five guys are good enough to lead a team to a Championship.

But I am not sold on the rest of the team. I don't think they are good enough to win a title. I reckon they are so weak that they drop Miami below the other contenders (BOS, MIL, PHI) in the East.

Are the Hawks that bad or are the Heat are what they're advertised- playing like a #1 seed? I feel like folks are sleeping on them while hyping up teams like Milwaukee, Boston, Philadelphia, and Brooklyn

The Hawks' 2nd-best player has been out since March 11th and returned a shell of himself, their 3rd-best player isn't available, and they just played a grinder of a game two days ago.

They were primed to get stomped.

Capela's underrated skill that is crucial for Atlanta's ball-handlers is his screen-setting. They really miss it

We'll have a better idea by the end of the series. Always risking making judgments on single games.

Never put much stock in what happens the last month when teams are tanking.  Even for the good teams their defense drops off significantly.  The Celtics defrtg for the season is 106.2 but since March 1st (19 games) it is 109.4.  That's one of the least drop offs.  Interestingly if I start at Feb 1st (30 games), it is 106.4 which is 3 points better than any other team.

For the season, Houston has the worst defrtg at 116.4.  Since March 1st, there are 11 teams worse than that with the Pacers bringing up the rear at 123.1.

The Hawks just rely way too much on Trae Young. When he goes off, they usually win. But otherwise, they often get blown out when he's bad like today (1-12 shooting, oof)

This feels a bit like a post to argue you just for the sake of arguing. The hawks won two do or die games and beat teams like the nets, grizzlies and warriors that were desperately trying to make the post season/play for seeding. They played objectively well the last month whatever stats you want to show up. Not debatable.

This isn't to discount MIL or PHI... but is it crazy to think the winner of this series has a pretty good chance at Finals? Both BKN and BOS played fantastic today and you could feel the tension and intense atmosphere. Whoever comes out of this series will definitely be riding high and both teams are loaded as is with firepower. Boston in particular has a big advantage with HCA if they advance, or BKN will have Durant, Kyrie and momentum if they win this series.

Can't believe I was reading comments the other day from Lakers fans that Caruso was every bit as good as Marcus Smart. Dear lord
