Nick Wright looks more and more like the Edited for profanity.  Please do not do it again. he actually is. Unbearable. Probably took him 4 hours of rubbing his two brain-cells together to think of 17 NBA players.

Not sure what's more offensive; that list or his hair.
He got the first 11 right and then Butler, Morant, and PG are arguable when healthy.  And considering 3 of the first 11 aren't playing and PG isn't either, it isn't that hard to argue Tatum is a top 10 player this year.

Are there salary cap implications if Tatum makes all nba?

I don't think so.  Think that was only last year before the contract kicked in.  Once it kicks in, I don't think it can be escalated.  Though I'm not sure what that has to do with my post.  A list of the best players in the world doesn't directly correlate with All NBA, post-season awards, etc.  That said, I believe Tatum is at least 3rd Team with a pretty decent shot at 2nd Team.

You really can’t tell how a discussion of Tatum being a top ten player this year would result in a question on him making an all nba team this year? I realize this guy is not making the list, but it’s obviously fairly related.

He only got the first 11 right if you ignore the entirety of this season.

I don’t think butler is really arguable at this point unless he can kick it into another gear in the playoffs. His rebounding, assists are down a bit. His 3 point shooting has been brutal, and I think he is a little worse ok defense. He will also be 33 in September. I’ll also be curious how harden looks in the playoffs. I don’t expect an aging process to 37 years old like Lebron for either of these guys.

I don't believe he was making a list based on this season.  If he was DeRozan would have been on it, as he just put DeRozan 6th in his MVP rankings.  A list of the best players in the world, is not a MVP list, or an awards list, and doesn't even necessarily pertain at all to the actual season, which is why someone like Kawhi Leonard would be in most people's top 10 for best player in the world, and he hasn't played a second of basketball this season.

I watched Kyrie's first half getting 41.  It was effortless.  Nothing really forced.  Just super efficient.   He is so talented.

So he had 60pts in 35mins of play. Went 20-31 from the field, 8-12 from 3pt, 12-13 from the line and had 4ast, 4reb, 4stl, 1blk for a +36 efficiency. That’s pretty much insane.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Irving has always been a talented scorer, when he is on and playing, but he isn't truly on all that much and he always misses games.  I mean his last 5 games (over 9 team games) he has scored 38, 19, 50, 22, 60.  That is a basic microcosm of his entire career.  He is just lacks consistency.  He is also a terrible defender, which doesn't help matters.

Such is fandom.

Me watching Cs/Mavs - "Luka has such a punchable face. I hate his game."

Me watching Nets/Mavs - "Luka has such a smooth game. He's really special."

Similar to Kevin Durant for me in that regard. Could watch KD destroy defences all day, until he has to play the Celtics.

Then I loathe him.

I think I'm like that with most great players. Save one.

Ironically, KG.

I was at a Wolves/Cs game in 2000, when the Wolves eeked out a game against the Potapenko/Anderson/Walker/Pierce Celtics. Garnett was dominant, and so loud I could hear him in the 20th row. I'd seen him play before obviously, and liked his game, but they only played the Cs twice a year and were a middling team.

But after that game? I fell in love with him right then and there, whether he played on the Cs or not.

Hahahaha that's a great finish in Brooklyn, especially after Sunday's ending.

Better when it happens to the hated Nets.
