We have Pritchard, Nesmith, Hauser, and Mathews as shooters.

Two second year players and two guys that may never see the court. Don’t feel great about that.

Too bad we didn't keep Bane. He can shoot.

You just had to go there!

But Liam, he has really short arms...

Yeah, he would've been such a good fit, short arms and all!
You'll forget all about him when Garrison Matthews becomes the next JJ Redick

True.

But Bane is looking good tonight.

The Celtics could field the All T-Rex team if Ainge had handled things differently.

Kelly Olynyk
Brandon Clarke
Bane!
Tyler Herro
Shane Larkin

Seriously, Tyler was never available - or did I miss something?

No, that’s entirely true. However; there were a lot of reports that Ainge wanted Herro and plenty of armchair GMs saying Ainge was a big dummy for not trading up to get him. Ergo the “handled things differently” caveat.

41% from the field and 7% from 3pt in tonights game. This team has too many below average shooters. If Brown or Tatum have an off night it’s going to be very difficult to win games. Al should be 3rd in shot attempts each game behind the J’s. He’s a career 52% from the field and 36% from 3pt. The better shooters outside of Tatum, Brown and Horford are not seeing the court in Pritchard and Nesmith. When they do play, they aren’t getting many shots. Ime needs to do better utilizing his players offensive skill sets and needs to make sure the lineups are balanced so the team won’t go on these scoring droughts.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

PP 2-4 in 18 minutes

Schroder 1-7 in 42 minutes

Bench shot  13-30 from 3: 2-10 Which seems bad
Starters shot  31-77 from 3: 0-16

Fournier is currently 4-7 tonight from 3 and over 40% coming into the game. I wish we signed him.  Richardson played well tonight, but we need Fournier’s shooting more.

Could've had both.

Just like we could've had Bane, Pritchard, and Nesmith.

Is it any surprise that this team is struggling offensively? The two players that I thought would    be providing a scoring punch off the bench in Nesmith and Pritchard are playing poorly and should probably be in the G-League. We have Nesmith and Smart, the two worst 3pt shooters in the rotation right now taking nearly 8 threes a game and the two best shooters from deep, Grant and Romeo are attempting 5. Makes no sense...Does the coach look at this stuff? This is a poor 3pt shooting team, yet they continue to fire away from deep.

Nesmith 19.2%, 3PA: 2.4
Pritchard: 26.1%,3PA: 1.9
Smart 27.5%, 3PA: 5.3
Horford 28% 3PA: 4.5
Tatum 31.6%, 3PA: 8.1
Schroder 33%, 3PA:4.5
Richardson 33%, 3PA: 3
G-WillIams 41%, 3PA: 2.9
Langford 47.4%, 3PA: 1.9

Hayward 44.4%, 3PA: 4.8

Basically, for the last several years the Cs have tried to be the Warriors without having anywhere near that kind of shooting. Makes sense, right?

5 rotation players, 7 including Nesmith and Pritchard, are shooting below their Career 3P%, not last season's 3P% or career best, their career 3P%. Pritchard was one of the best 3P shooters in the league and an elite spot up shooter last season. A 15 game sample isn't enough to forget about the 150+ game sample we have for all of those players, this is a team-wide shooting slump.

Tatum and Horford have never shot this poorly over an entire season and Smart hasn't shot like this in 5 years. Langford and Grant were poor shooters, until they weren't... By the end of this season these threads won't age well.
