after J’s ….I am anxious to see how Jalen ‘s game is impacted from his surgery.

Timelord might hold the key to how far the Celtics go.   I ‘m scared to watch him play he seems so fragile
,  if can he stay on the court for long stretches, and play enough and bond to be a third key to the jays . curious and very excited but …..mostly NERVOUS….lol

Nesmith might wind up playing a lot of minutes if he can shoot like I think he can . I believe he put in the work this  off season.  Seems pretty sturdy for his size.  Maybe a gem hiding. Curious to see how he works out by seasons end.

Bruno and Pritchard might he fun to watch as backups .  Curious of their possible contribution.

I’d like to see Jabari with a full training camp. I feel he could be a major contributor off the bench.

I missed the second part of the question, excite was Romeo, curious is Schröder.  Can he sustain what he has done in the past and will the C's extend him or use his expiring as trade fodder?

Dennis said in his interview that he hopes to be here beyond this season. With all the salaries locked up, do we still have room to sign him to a bigger contract next year?

Depending where things up, the most the C's could offer would be the full non-taxpayer MLE (roughly $10.5 million next year), which would subject them to the hard cap.  If they wish to go above the hard cap, the most they could give Schroder is through his non-Bird rights, about $7.2 million next year.

I don't think he actually hopes to be in Boston next year, because that means his market didn't materialize again.  I think he's no idiot and knows to say the right thing, and the right thing on media day is to not describe yourself as a guy who's gone after this year, before you've even had a practice with the team.  I mean, it's possible he has a great experience, and has made enough money already so that if Boston pays him the most they're allowed to, that would be enough for another season, but I think his plan A is to get offered $15-20 million per year next summer.

  • Peace it's a board. We all will never agree.
Romeo, he came into the league hurt, second year COVID, this could be the year he shows why he was a five-star recruit out of Indiana.
My hope too. I saw him play for Indy and he was a force.  Who does not want to see Robert Williams.

Tatum.  The answer is always Tatum because the team goes as Tatum goes.

Just to pull your chain, this means we know our success based on the last 3 years?  I hope not!

I’m curious to see how well Tatum buys into the “Pass the ball, keep it moving “ strategy. If he can then he moves into the MVP conversation. I hope he gets that.

Excited about having NBA players on the bench instead of G-leaguers. I think people are really sleeping on Romeo. They’re writing him off based on what they saw 2 years ago and not where he’s at now.

#1 Horford.  IT, Avery Bradley, Jae Crowder, Amir Johnson, and Al Horford were the starters for the 8th best offensive rating in the NBA in 2016.  I think his impact on an offense is immeasurable when he's a focus point, which he wasn't as much the following season when Kyrie arrived and thereafter.  I'm excited to see more offense like 2016.  I'm curious to see if we implement a 1 big or 2 big starting lineup with Al.  I think either one can work well as we've seen with Al in the past.

#2 Schroder.  I'm very curious to see how he plays out this contract year.  What we're hearing from Al has got me excited, but I'm very curious.

#3 Tatum.  I said last postseason that next May, we might be looking at Durant and Tatum as equals.  I'm looking forward to seeing if that ends up being true.

I don't think it's worth getting your hopes up. They've been using Al for lots of promotion, but more importantly, they used him for recruitment. Doubt Brad sees trading him in his future.

Josh Richardson is a huge wildcard for me for the next two seasons. He's a long, athletic player who at various points in time has shown the ability to: be a primary ballhandler, shoot at a high level, play defense across 3-4 positions, and play off the ball without needing to be high usage. He's shown bits and pieces of being the perfect glue guy, but his trajectory over the past couple years has been negative. Still, he's 28 years old and would be the perfect puzzle piece to easily slot next to any of Smart, Schroder, Brown, Tatum, Nesmith, etc.

A guy you can put on the court and not worry about fit because he fits with anyone. At least that was the Josh Richardson bull case from three years ago.

He’s my answer, too. Ime seems to think that Josh could recover his good 3-pt% , and why not? Getting him more open looks where he’s reliable (above all, the left corner) would go a long way toward restoring his offensive gravity.
'I was proud of Marcus Smart. He did a great job of keeping us together. He might not get credit for this game, but the pace that he played at, and his playcalling, some of the plays that he called were great. We obviously have to rely on him, so I’m definitely looking forward to Marcus leading this team in that role.' - Jaylen Brown, January 2021

Yeah, unless Beal or someone like that becomes available, I don't think Boston has any intention of trading Horford until the summer.  A guy like Beal though, I think they'd move Horford.

Jaylen. If he makes the same sized leap this year as he had the last two years he's an all-nba guy. He seems like the kind of guy who knows his weakness is passing, and will strive to make it a strength. I also expect him to shoot just a ton of threes.
