LaVine is a truly elite scorer. 1.41 points per shot is elite (Curry last year was 1.47 and Jaylen was 1.29 as a comparison), especially as a team's #1 option. Offense is more important than defense so that weighs heavily to thinking LaVine is the better player, but he is just so bad defensively, that Brown might make up for it. On this team, I think LaVine is the better fit because there are plenty of quality guard and wing defenders, such that LaVine's elite scoring would probably have more of an impact.
