Do you guys think that Tacko is still in the running for that second 2 way slot? When we first got him, I was hoping he’d develop into a Boban Marjanovic type of player. The past two seasons have shown otherwise though.

Is David Duke Jr. on a two-way yet?

He signed with the Nets didn’t he?
One of the most unfortunate names

 :D

David Duke in Beantown?
Yikes

I’m a fan of David Duke Jr, he’s a little rough around the edges but the intangible are there to improve. He’d be perfect for a two way deal.

In saying that the first time I heard his name it reminds me of the old Chapelle Show skit.

Honestly can’t comprehend why his parents would name him David.

Perhaps it was like that Johnny Cash song, ‘Boy name Sue’ attempting to toughen him up.

If he ever ends up in Washington his nickname should be "The Grand Wizard." Chappelle would approve.

Hahaha god help him if he ends up there lol

They can just call him ‘Gandalf the White’.

Even worse if he was signed by the Pacers or Pelicans…
5' 10" former point guard

Career highlight: 1973-74 championship, Boston Celtics

Career lowlight: traded for a washing machine

Who do you think we should put on that second two-way contract. I'd put Marcus Garrett if the Heat doesn't sign him or maybe LiAngelo Ball if the Hornets don't sign him.
LiAngelo Ball? Why?

He can shoot.

His shooting and off-ball movement has been impressive to me, but I would be surprised if the Hornets didn't sign him - his game just fits so well next to his brother.

Can Harry Giles sign a 2 way contract?  He only has 3 years in the league and I believe that's the cutoff.  If no one signs him for a vet deal its either Europe or this.  Thoughts?  Still only 23.

He is not eligible

I say give Begarin the two way slot remaining

Zach Auguste.  The odds are high that Horford, Williams, and Kanter will all be simultaneously unavailable on the same day this season.  I’d rather have the 28 year-old Euro vet ready for emergency service than some reclamation project.  Bonus points for Auguste in that he’s from the Boston area, so it’s a feel-good story.

Not sure if that makes sense financially for him. He had signed a 1+1 deal with Panathinaikos last summer for decent money so he’s be taking a pretty hefty pay cut to play on a two way contract for a chance to play in the NBA.

Didn’t realize he was still under contract with Panathinaikos as he’s at summer league.  Normally the Euro players who haven’t in the past been drafted are free agents.

August is not under contract.. panathinaikos has brought in other guys to replace him.. played less than expected and was very bad in defence.. better find a defensive minded center

Hard pass on August. I live in Greece, but I don't follow any of the local teams. From what I hear, he ain't even good enough for Panathinaikos, let alone for the Celtics.

- Below average athlete by NBA standards.
- Below average rim protector and PnR defender. Btw, he's a Center, which means it's almost impossible to hide him on defense.
- Below average passer.
- He ain't spacing the floor.

What does he offer, really? I guess he's a decent scorer close to the basket. Who cares? Low post scorers aren't a thing anymore.

'I was proud of Marcus Smart. He did a great job of keeping us together. He might not get credit for this game, but the pace that he played at, and his playcalling, some of the plays that he called were great. We obviously have to rely on him, so I’m definitely looking forward to Marcus leading this team in that role.' - Jaylen Brown, January 2021

I like Dedric Lawson more than Auguste, but I don't want either really

I'd take this guy Trevelin Queen on a two way.

I'd also do Tres Tinkle just for a jersey! ;D
