I didn't see a thread for this.  I know that Kris and Bruno may be getting flipped and I don't think there has been a press conference announcing them but I felt they deserved a welcome thread.

Like some others have said, I really liked Dunn coming out of Providence.  He is not as big as I thought (listed at 6'-3") and has turned out to be more of a 3 and D guy but without a very high 3PT% (career 30.5%).   I see him as good veteran depth at PG, would prefer a minimum contract for that role but 1 year at $5M is not outrageous.  At age 27, not sure there is all that much more to see with him.

I know nothing about Bruno Fernando beyond his college and NBA stats.  I like his size and age (22), plenty of bigs develop after this age so maybe there is something there with him.  ATL had a log jam at PF (Collins, Gallinari, Okongwu) so not much opportunity.  Probably an improvement over Kornet and more upside than Ojeleye?

Both are 3rd string players. Fernando is a PF, which is the position that this team has the worst depth. I’m not sure the C’s can do better at this point in terms of adding bench talent on the cheap/short term. I’d like to keep them.

Boston's short enough on second-rounders at it is, and if they swing a Beal trade you're going to want some seconds floating around to fill out the roster with the Thompson/Theis TPEs. Unless the doctors just totally red-flag Dunn as being physically unable to play, he's worth keeping around as a third point guard and salary for trade building. Only caveat is if salary-dumping him lets you sign Schroeder with the MLE.

Bruno probably gets a shot at making the team out of camp if he isn't moved by then, but yea - the Kanter signing is a clear indication that he's not in the team's plans.

I tend to agree with Who.  If healthy, I really like Dunn in a specialized role, but with the team being a bit cheap this year $5 million seems like an overpayment for him.

Bruno Fernando is from Angola.  In two years at Maryland, he averaged 12 pts and 9 rebs.  Listed as 6'-9", measured to a 7'-3" wingspan for the 2019 draft.  With guys like this, the issue can be ability to play at the speed of the NBA game (think Fab Melo).  Does he have the reactions or anticipation to keep up.  I have not seen him play to be able to judge this.  For a guy like him, he can learn most anything else.

It would have been nice to see him at the summer league.  Like other rookies from this class, I suspect that he has missed out on lot of summer and preseason practice time.  Then didn't get much playing time in ATL.  Now that may have been due to the roster and it may have been because he is not that good.

So if we set the line at Ojeleye, what do people thing over the next couple of years, better or worse than Semi?  He is taller at least.

Yes, OK, I read that one in 2023 again and I see now that we send out our own to CHA but get three other picks, all with very convoluted stipulations/mappings:

(1)  Less favorable of DAL and MIA if HOU 31-32; or more favorable of (i) HOU 33-60 and (ii) less favorable of DAL and MIA (via MIA to DAL; via MEM swap of DAL or MIA for HOU);
(2)  POR (via CLE to DET to LAC to ATL);
(3)  Least favorable of (i) OKC, (ii) WAS and (iii) the more favorable of DAL and MIA (via WAS to NOP to OKC; via MIA to DAL to OKC)

So bottom line?
