Free agent Evan Fournier has agreed to a four-year deal that could be worth as much as $78M with the New York Knicks, source tells ESPN.

Bummer

Can someone buy the team from these penny pinchers?

I'll kick in 20$!

They have pulled the wool over the fans eyes for too long. No wonder Danny could not get things done.

We'll be fighting to make the playoffs at this point next season. Brooklyn, Milwaukee, Philly, and Miami all on another level. We'll be competing with Atlanta, New York, Indy, Washington, and Charlotte for the privilege of getting beat by one of these powerhouses.

We’re a notch below NY and ATL now.

That is disappointing.  But not surprising.

Free agent Richaun Holmes has agreed to a four-year, $90 million deal with the Dallas Mavericks, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium.

Is that a typo? He’s a nice player but huge overpay.

That’s the market. Pay or go home.

Celtics go home.

So we practically lost Hayward for nothing? Man I hope Brad still has some surprises up his sleeve. This free agency is not off to a good start.

I think we can be a 3rd or 4th seed. Philly peaked last year and Miami is overrated.

with what?

I like your optimism.  Sorry that I don't agree with it.  I feel like Atl and NYK are probably better than us next year.
We better REALLY hope that Nesmith, PP, and Langford develop quickly, or it is going to be a really long year.r

So the Knicks have seemingly improved their team, and we took a major step back.  I don't like the Knicks.

Some still think this team is 3rd in the East….lol

I guess I'm just a believer in the whole "star driven league" idea. And I think behind Brooklyn and Milwaukee...Brown and Tatum collectively make the 3rd best duo in the East. Brad knows what our weaknesses were last year and is determined to make us a connected-on-offense / intense-on-defense team. Assuming that whatever the heck is happening in between Ben Simmons' ears impacts that organization...I think we can be a top 3 or 4 team.

If this year was any indication that this roster needed major help, then next year is no different. I see the Celtics playing in the play-in tournament again only to get ousted by Milwaukee or Brooklyn (again).
