Rudy Gay confirmed to Utah, Patty Mills rumored to GSW.

Apparently nobody wants to play for us.

2 years, $12 million for Gay.

All the players that Brad is supposedly “interested in” are going off the market one by one. In the meantime, Brad and company have been dead silent. You have to wonder what’s happening behind the scenes.

Perhaps it’s time to give IT a chance?

Have any other teams not made a free agent signing aside from us?  It feels like it’s just us — maybe Memphis?  Wolves?  Good company.

Memphis, Wolves, and Magic are the only other teams that haven't made moves.

Good company, as I said.

Hopefully we can drag Memphis into the Tristan Thompson deal so we can get Kyle Anderson, since they’ve stayed pat so far.

Rudy Gay is a really good signing for Utah. Beef up that forward depth.

SF: Bogdanovic, Ingles, Niang
PF: Royce O'Neale, Rudy Gay

5 legit rotation players for two spots.

I don't think we have missed out on all that much in terms of players that have switched teams:

Lowry
Ball
Fournier
Dinwiddie
McDermott
Holmes
Z. Collins

I am not sad about any of them.  Other than Fournier, we would have needed to do a S+T so not only be the high bidder but also give up some players.  But I did hope we would do more than get Josh Richardson (who I am happy to get).

We still have the SAC + ATL + New Team Maybe trade so let's see what that gets us.  I will hold back my moaning and groaning for now.

I’m really curious what the hold up is on the TT trade and if it has anything to do with us not signing anyone else yet.

Nobody out there even thought Drummond was starter material anymore?

Seems like a waste of talent to me. Going to play 15mpg off the bench behind Embiid. For what? Why are you giving up on your career? What is he, 28 years old? Why is Drummond settling for less?

I hate seeing players give up on themselves.

Because he plays like a dinosaur and doesn’t impact winning. If you are a big man who isn’t mobile and/or can’t shoot, you are basically out of the league at this point

There being a hold up allows us to maintain hope that we are going to end up with an actual decent player out of this such as Collins, Bagley, or maybe even Gallinari.

The Pistons could have an interesting small ball lineup with

C: Olynyk
F: Jerami Grant
F: Cade Cunningham

Surround them with some guards who can handle the ball and shoot and that would be a dynamic offensive ball club.

I don't believe they will fill out the rest of their team with good players but if they did that could make a pretty darn good ball club. A playoff caliber team.

But like I said, I expect they will choose not and instead chose to tank. Fill the rest of the team out with garbage and try to be a 25-28 win type team instead. Get a high draft pick.
