Lakers are testing the market on a Kuzma trade, should the Celtics be interested? I know opinions are about him are predominately negative right now, but the Celtics do need a stretch big, and I think if the trade was something along the lines of Thompson, Grant, and a 2nd for Kuzma, I’d consider it.

Thoughts?

I'd consider that trade, but honestly I don't really want to trade for a player who seems to be a below-average starter at pretty much everything.

Would consider Thompson for Kuzma straight up.  Would not give any more than that, personally.  He’s getting paid 30% more than the MLE, and he offers MLE-level production, at best.

Thompson and Grant would be a steal for The Lakers...Kuzma doesn't seem to be that interested in improving.
Larry Bird was Greater than you think.

Salaries don't work. It would have to be Grant straight up for Kuzma. That works in the trade machine.

Once Kuzma’s extension kicks in on August 1st, Tristan would need to be included.

Yea I used to love trade machine but it's not very accurate I very much prefer the trade NBA machine it's got alot more options to play with

If we're buying low, yeah.

With the C's he'd play his true position, PF, that'd help. He's an upgrade on Grant and probably an upgrade on Jabari (although, if Jabari gets into shape and has something to prove, Jabari might still be the better option).

Kuzma has been vastly underutilized by the Lakers.  If you can get him for Thompson (who won't play much) and Grant Williams (a deep bench player), then you absolutely make that trade and don't give it a second thought.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

I draw the line at Williams/Langford/Waters/Thompson. If you’re asking me to give up Nesmith or Timelord or PP I’m out. Give up some combination of those first four though, and convince Kuzma to accept a 6th-man role, and I’m in.

TT straight up I'd consider. Nothing more
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

LA would fall out of their chair laughing Grant for Kuzma.
