Timelord, Langford, Smart, and Thompson for Lillard? Would that be in the ballpark?

Naw…..you need Brown in there.

Unless Dame specifically engineers his way here, any proposal has to include Jaylen. Now if Tatum and Brown can team up to convince him to come, we may be able to get over with a deal built around Smart/Timelord/Tristan/young guys/all the picks and swaps possible.

Well Chris Haynes is pretty reliable.

When it comes to Lillard, it appears so. Lots of Blazers fans are believing this is being leaked from Dame's camp.

He stepped in it a bit by endorsing Chauncey, and he’s trying to separate himself.

It seems so. He was getting into it with fans on Twitter over the Billups hiring. I think he could've handled it better, but it's easier for players to slip away without accountability than franchise management.

I just really don’t want him to end up on the Sixers... the last thing we need is another division rival getting a superstar player and separating themselves from the pack.

If Dame really does request a trade Brad will have to think long and hard about trading Jaylen for him. It’s a star league and Lillard/Tatum would be a superstar combo that could compete with the Nets. Danny wouldn’t have done it based on recent track record, but with Brad in charge now you never know.

If he is moved a Dame for Simmons plus assets package seems to make the most sense for both teams. A CJ and Simmons combo could work for Blazers and Dame and Embiid could be dangerous

yeah , as a Celtics fan wanting to wIn NOW ,  I ‘d do Brown and Smart and what ever .

An Listen …I only had to think about it

1 second  ;D

Lillard and Tatum duo……pulls most ANY star to Boston not named Kyrie or Durant .

kinda my dream team

Lillard is a better fit along side Tatum……it lets Tatum go off with Lillard as his point guard .

Brad has his pick filling in the rest of team from around the league .

Top centers would be available eventually.

I’d do brown and smart but really don’t think Tatum Lillard and a team of stiffs get us very far. Combat that with the fact Lillard is old it’s kind of a pointless trade IMO, that said I’d still do it.

Dame is going to be 31 in about two weeks. I understand the desire to have all that talent, but in no way do I want to give up on one of the Js to chase him.

I would add, we’ve had three undersized score-first PGs recently. IT, Kyrie, and Kemba. I’m ready for a pass-first PG who can play defense and help the Js as they come into their prime. They haven’t peaked yet.

The Jays are not equal. One Jay is better than the other. Liliard works with Jayson. I doubt the Cs can fleece them and get by without giving up JB. You gotta get it done if you are serious about winning.

And that's precisely why the Celtics would have to offer Brown and more to get Lillard.  If he goes to the Sixers our path to contention during Tatum's prime is pretty narrow.

Westbrook is the NBA assist leader. Smart is 13th.

Yup sometimes trading is about offense (making your team better) and defense (blocking your rival).

Alternately, while everyone is going for Lillard, this may be our time to get Beal who is close with Tatum and 3 years younger than Lillard.

Exactly, I’m a huge Jaylen fan but it can’t always be about the future. A team with a Tatum level player needs to be a championship contender now. Moving Tatum for anything less than Doncic is a bad move, but any move that allows you to keep Tatum and grab another MVP level player is a risk that a good GM needs to take if we’re serious about championships in the near future. The two major arguments against it are age and contract, but again you have to give something to get something. 30 isn’t even that bad.

Keeping Tatum happy is priority #1 since he’s proven that he’s a young bonafide superstar, and I’d be shocked if he wasn’t one of the all stars that has been recruiting Dame.

If for any reason the Cs can’t get Lillard (assuming he asks for a trade) the alternative move would be getting Norm Powell assuming the Blazers rebuild.
