From earlier today. Can’t wait to see him in green, again.  :)

Also, sounds like he would prefer playing the 4. Smart, Brown, Tatum, Horford, Timelord starting lineup sounds pretty good...

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Really he's the ultimate garbageman type player who doesn't need the ball in his hands all the time.

A 2 big lineup can work with Al on the floor, but otherwise, it's a no go with RW, Thompson, the new guy.

I'm really glad to have him back.  Our offense might actually work again.

I think it can work with Timelord, but it's tougher to see TT and MB working out.

Al has always wanted to play the 4 - but he is too slow to guard the litany of smallish 4s today, especially at his age.  We'll have limited chances to use him with Rob IMO

Timelord is quick enough to play with Horford.

Al may want to play the 4 but at this stage of his career, his best position is the 5.  in his younger days, he was definitely good enough to be a high caliber 4.

Without entering into the merits of the presser, since I haven't watched it yet, but how much does it suck to do this via zoom and what not, instead of all management at the table with him and showing off their jerseys and what not.

Not sure at 35 if Al can start... or start for most of the season

Either come off the bench or start (but also load manage)

It will be up to Udoka to figure it out

The bad thing is... Horford vs Thompson vs TL/ Brown are different style bigs.   Udoka will need several different setups/players adjust on the fly

With Williams, I think the theory is he'd (Horford) be a 4 on offense and a 5 on defense, and vice versa for TimeLord.  I'm not personally sold on that lineup, but I expect it will get a chance for a few minutes a game unless Williams is traded away.

While I prefer Rob starting, I don't think Al's age is the issue.  He seems in great shape, based on last season, and all the rest he's gotten. He's taken good care of himself.  Lebron is 2 years older, and look at how well he still plays. No one is benching him.

Agree, You don't need AL to be amazing, and if you can land a good PG, he's the option. You need him to anchor the defense and move the ball. Start him and finish with him, let the young guys play in between.

With the Celtics dearth of available jersey numbers, started wondering if Al was going to have to reclaim his jersey from one of the younger guys.  But kind of surprised nobody has worn #42 here since Al left.

Like Aaron Nesmith really came in and decided #26 was the better number to wear?  Dude wore 24 in high school and college (retired with the Celtics for Sam Jones), my first thought would be you flip it and take #42, but apparently he went up to the next closest available number instead (just a guess, no idea why he actually settled on #26).

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class
