Same here. Wasn’t able to watch it, but the sense I got from the excerpts is that he plans to be a very tough, Pop-esque kind of coach. Loving it. That’s EXACTLY what this team needs.

Pop raved about his ability to reach players, so that's a good sign.

Already really liking this hire.  Brad would praise Durant etc. on pressers like he has a major fanboy.....   

so this is a very nice contrast/change.

He said all the right things to make us fans excited. This is a refreshing reboot for the team, and hopefully Ime could live up to everything that he said.

I like at the end ... how he said there is a balance/individual personality (demands on players).  But also these guys (Tatum/Brown) want to be pushed (from conversation with them directly).  Putting the onus on the players/accountability

I think Ime will do a good job....

again love the passive jab at Brad work last season. 27th in team assist

Ime is the type of personality =  "27th in team assist is unacceptable"   


But the real test will be if the team stays on 27th in assist projectory....yet Tatum/Brown are having fine scoring outputs themselves (without ball movement).  Team is only playing at 500

How Ime will get Tatum/Brown to buy into ball movement/leadership. Something Brad had a tough time doing last season

He also touched on getting the young guys to contribute more. Excited with what he plans to do with Neismith and Romeo.

exactly. Hopefully he can get them to shoot better.  More cutting to the basket and kickouts etc.

Anyone else hear the "veterans we'll talk about in free agency" comment?

Wonder what veterans they are going after.

Also, can't help but notice how much he brought up Marcus Smart. I don't think Smart is getting traded.
