…do we bring Doc back home? In many ways, he perfectly complements Stevens and vice-versa?

Boston is not his home…he didn’t even buy a place in Boston.

Home = Coaching the Boston Celtics. Who cares if he rented instead of owning?

We’ve only won a single title in the past three decades, and it happened with Doc as our HC. He’s the ultimate “players’ coach.” And he would be highly motivated to beat Philly.

Doc Rivers is a terrible coach.  I'm more convinced then ever that they won the title in spite of the coach and that even if KG hadn't got hurt Doc would have found a way to mess it up in the subsequent years

If the Sixers lose game 7, why would we want the losing coach? Doc's teams have choked in the playoffs how many times in the last few years. We might as well bring back Jimmy Rogers or Chris Ford.

Doc has had some reeally telented teams and has failed down the stretch. Which makes me feel the 08 team was more KG and PP willing the team to win. This is a whole new era, Stevens has the keys now, it will be interesting what fresh approach he will have.

They should absolutely do that. Add Mike Budenholzer and Luke Walton to the coaching staff as well, and hire Rick Pitino in the front office.

This might be your best idea yet, if we only have the courage to follow through all the way.

You should care. There is a reason you referred to Boston as’ ‘home’ . That is the way it should be. He did not consider Boston ‘home’. That is why it was so easy for him to leave.

Blew a lot of 3-1 and 3-2 series lead, including the 2010 NBA Finals and 2012 East Finals. Overrated coach and a bum. Everyone knew it was KG and assistant coach Tom Thibs that got the Celtics their 17th championship.

Hard pass.

Id rather have any of the 2 lady coaches being considered than bringing Doc back for a re run.

IMO though i feel PBS will not be bringing in a vet coach but a veteran asst to the likes of Pop..

I actually think Stevens already has less than 4 in mind and will just be a matter of time..he has already scheduled a couple of second interviews in to those he prefers.
