The people I count on to be here next season and rotation-worthy: Pritchard, Smart, Langford, Fournier, Brown, Nesmith, Tatum, Horford, Timelord. A lot of good shooters, they can really open up the court for our All Stars. One of Timelord and Horford should be on the floor for post playmaking, but I don't think you want 35-year-old Horford as sole rim protection against starting units.

Smart (Pritchard)
Brown (Langford)
Fournier (Nesmith)
Tatum (Parker?)
Timelord (Horford)

Rest: Madar?, Edwards, Ojeleye?, G.Williams, M.Brown

I read they "wanted flexibility to sign Fournier", but, I'm going to guess that they do not as he's expensive. If they do sign him? He will be a solid bench addition.

Looking at the roster today? Stevens is going to sign a point guard, thus, I will include this "starting NBA point guard" in the line up.

Horford will not be getting many minutes as he hasn't gotten any minutes since leaving Philly, maybe he will start.

New PG
Brown
Tatum
Horford
Robert

Bench
Smart
Thompson
Langford
Parker

Pritchard
Nesmith
Grant
Semi
Moses

Are they going to trade Smart? Anyways, "healthy" (which to me looks like a longshot) that is a three seed. The bench is better and the starters are better. Maybe another veteran bench guy would get us closer to the two seed.

Horford/Thompson/Robert/Moses(?) - is actually a good frontcourt.

Smart/Thompson/Langford/Parker is an ok playoff bench, but needs improvement.

Brown and Tatum next year should be very dangerous and I think the team they're building around them is starting to take shape.

If Robert can start 60+ games? The Celtics will win 52 and this is why...watch how Robert changes the game when he's on the floor. His timing on blocks is much better. On defense he is way better in the lane against drivers, he is quick. On offense he is a top end passer and his moves underneath make him very productive.

As the season went on, opponents started "playing away" from Robert. Beyond getting injured every 15 minutes, Robert was starting to be recognized as a star in the making.

Tatum
Brown
Robert

With no injuries is your legit NBA "big three".

Thompson + Carsen  <->  Ball + Hart

Smart - Ball - Pritchard - 2way: Yam
Brown - Langford - Hart
Tatum - Fournier - Nesmith
Horford - Grant - Parker - 2 way: 2nd rd pick
Timelord - Brown - Kornet

Great Defense across the board
Great Shooting across the board
A year or two of devrlopment and playing together and this is a championship contender for the forseable future!

I think the Cs should trade Thompson either for a big wing or into another teams cap space for what ever draft asset they can (Maybe Toronto gives up a protected 1st or couple of 2nds)? If they can’t trade for a big wing (K Anderson is one example). If they can’t trade for a wing then I would like to see them go after Otto Porter, James Johnson, Bjelica, or Nic Batum with the intend being to make them a low minutes starter. Then have Fournier as 6th man. I would also bring back Kornet as a cheap big in case of injuries.

Start
Smart
Brown
Tatum
Porter jr
R Williams

Top of bench
Fournier
Horford
Pritchard
Nesmith/Langford
Mavs
Wiz
Hornet

Why would New Orleans want either one of those guys?

Predicted:  Smart, Brown, Fournier, Tatum, Robert Williams

Would like to see:  Pritchard, Brown, Fournier, Tatum, Robert Williams

I'd enjoy the bench 4-some of Horford, Smart, Romeo and Nesmith together.  Also G will/Jabari Parker if we don't upgrade PF.

Horford may start at center with Robert Williams off bench...not sure what Brad (new coach sorry) will do there...

- Horford

I think you can start TIMELORD with Horford due to TIMELORD's mobility and Horford's shooting. My Starting unit has a lot of shooting and passing.

I like this approach.  Unless the Cs trade for a starting PG, I think Payton should start over Smart.  Perhaps the new coach will let him lead the team from the point instead of moving to a corner and twiddling his thumbs waiting for someone to pass him the ball.  Payton was never given the opportunity to run the offense for more than a few plays a game.

All those wide-open Smart looks go to Pritchard.

So here's the thing, Horford could give us a good 20-25m per game but I don't believe he has the stamina to be a 35m per guy anymore.  So I'm going to pencil in Time Lord at the 5 until/unless he gets traded.  Which is always possible.  Horford is the first big off the bench and quite likely our 6th man if we don't resign Fournier.

1. Smart
2. Brown
3. Nesmith
4. Tatum
5. Rob Williams

I am actually inserting Nesmith into the starting lineup and Tatum at the 4 because our other #4 sized players suck.  Grant Williams and Semi Ojeyle look like career backups and don't make impactful plays, they are just bodies to provide backup minutes.  Sorry if you're a fan but that's just how they have turned out to be.

Nesmith on the other hand, when he gets going he's a STAT filling machine, steals, blocks, energy, makes plays all over the floor.

Rob Williams likewise is a freak athlete who makes a huge difference when healthy.

I'm hoping when Smart is handed the PG role he takes his duties as a playmaker a lot more seriously and cuts back on taking selfish shots and works on getting his teammates involved first.  As far as GRIT, you can't get any more GRIT than what Smart gives.

For this lineup to succeed, Smart has to become a pass first driven point, Nesmith has to continue to develop, and Rob Williams just needs to stay healthy because he makes freak impact when he's out there.
