Jerome interviewed with us for HC.  Bummed he's gone but wish him well.  (hired as assistant to Casey)

A sign the announcement of the new head coach is close?

Articles I've been following doesn't indicate they're close, maybe just they gave the indication that it wasn't going to be him.

I wonder what it's like to be an assistant waiting to find out who the new head coach will be. I guess Allen didn't want to wait around and find out. Don't blame him.

Yeah, he was one of the first interviews, and at the time it was noted he had an offer to be the lead assistant in Detroit.  Seemed unlikely he would wind up as our coach.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
Probably for the best. It's not like he was guaranteed his position in BOS once the new coach comes in. Glad he's going to be somewhere he's wanted.

Good.  He’s a crook who lined his own pocket.  He shouldn’t be shaping young men.  Frankly, he should have done prison time.

100%, glad to see him leave our organisation.

Also thought we'd need a fresh start in the assistant coaching department with the new coach coming in

I didn’t know about this. Just looked it up too

On topic though, new HC’s generally assemble their own coaching staff. So I can’t blame him for seeing the writing on the wall.
