I think D'Antoni is an excellent coach, but also a bad fit for the Celtics.
Especially with this roster. Pass.
I'm not sure if he would be...he has his iso player in JT who handles the ball a lot. He would have a solid No2 in Brown, and shooters in Fournier and Kemba (assuming he's still here). It might be a case of Brad trying to find a coach that maximizes JT's strengths, rather than trying to force the team's stars into a system that doesn't suit them.
It would suck for us as fans, because we like seeing ball movement as that's the "Celtic Way", but maybe it's a case of finding a coach that fits the strengths of your franchise player, rather than trying to make your franchise player fit a coach's system.
D'Antoni wouldn't be my first choice either, but I can see why they would be interested.
