Just wondering how many feel Kemba is unmovable.

With his injury and concerns for further injury feel that the C's are stuck with Kemba. Why would a team deal for a guy that can't play back to backs or be relied upon come playoffs? With his salary so high and the C's still being a playoff team it would make zero sense for even a rebuild team to take on Kemba for picks. If he can't help a team win and the C's can't provide value picks I see no way he is movable.

I think it will be hard to move him.
Also hard to stomach a $34m dollar bench player, but bringing him off the bench as a microwave scorer is our (and his) best bet for the next phase of his career

Unmovable is a little too much, but I guess even if a team need a scoring leader and bet on his health it won't be for more than a 0 value (with salary cap or expiring contracts), maybe even a negative one; I wouldn't thought that if he would have played the Nets serie like he played the last part of the season.
So maybe waiting he is doing a good begening in next season -with one/half years left-, hopefully with Rob staying healthy and some youth progress, could be a better timing, with even a TPE for Fournier, for (hopefully) doing one big trade. Not ideal with the new structure to begin the season with some holes, as it is what we are doing since 2 years, but maybe it will be the best for the future to optimise the value of our guys. Of course I would prefer a solution that could bring Beal or other(s) without loosing the Jays duo this summer, but don't know if it is possible.

Also, do we know for sure that he cannot play b2bs or was that just for this season with the condensed schedule? I was always under the impression this was precautionary.

Yes, he is making a lot of money, but he can still play at an elite level. If we are ‘stuck’ with Kemba, then we are stuck with a star-level player who is incredibly upbeat and willing to defer to the Jays without issue. I have no doubt he will be a very good player the next couple of seasons.

He is movable if packaged with good young players, picks, cash considerations, etc.  It's all a matter of what YOU are willing to give up.  I've heard a few crazy ideas such as:

Kemba/Jaylen to WAS for Beal/Westbrook

Kemba/Jaylen to MIN for Towns/Russell

No one in the league Is unmovable and there are plenty of other bad contracts out there. Question is how many picks and/or young players do you have to include in a trade to unload him.

agreed.  I had the same understanding about him sitting the b2b's this season -- due to the quick turnaround of this condensed season.  we'll know more next season without this many b2b games. 

I'd move him in the right deal because I don't think he's good enough as a ballhandler or distributor on offense to be our starting PG but maybe with a new coach, there'll be a new strategy on offense and defense that plays to the team's and Kemba's strengths.

I agree.  I'm not sure how much you'd have to attach to entice a taker but we've seen bad contracts moved in the NBA plenty of times.

Frankly, the more realistic option is to move Kemba to the bench, and have him come in as a guy to get us quick buckets.  He would be grossly overpaid for that role, but I'd rather do that than continue to use him as a starter.  I want us to become a taller, longer, switchable starting 5.

Kemba off the bench solves problems.
1: less wear and tear
2:going up against second stringers may boost production
3: vet leadership for second unit
4: dangerous  weapon off the bench

In this role Kemba could reinvigorate and extend his career and may result in 6th man of the year consideration
