I think Ainge needs to build a real bench next year and if Brad can’t put the team in contention, then I’d say it’s time to move on. This inexperienced bench that Ainge has built has been a huge disaster the last two years.
Langford, Nesmith, Parker, Thompson/TL, Pritchard, Yam (hopefully quick impact)
Should be more than enough to constitute a real bench
What the Celts need is a legit stretch big and new guards to start with Jays imo
No that's not a "more than enough" real bench on my opinion : Timelord has the potential to be the best sub Center, but is always hurt, Nesmith has potential but is still raw and probably will still be inconstent, Langford is a good defensive bench player but an almost zero offensive player at this stage, Pritchard has hit hardly the rookie wall and we may have some interrogation about his PO abilities.... Parker will be a usefull bench player I guess and his price his good, but still a guy who was injured and left by many teams. If we resign Fournier, he would be the only lock as a good bench player.... But overpaying him at 20M+ (like I say sonce a long time) may not be the right decision.
So on my priority order :
1 find depth with good and cheap VET signings (1 or 2 players but the leaders of the bench)
2 find an helathier and more creative/defensive PG
3 Find a stetch big (TT is not the reason our fail for me, he is inconstant, lack of talent but is OK esp if Timelord come strong of the bench)
And for CBS, it is not what happened yesterday that may change anybodys mind. OK on second quarter he made strange choices, but whatever it was an impossible win, until a miracle happened. Maybe he wanted to see if one of this guy was hot, to give him a chance to play the Romeo lite in G3... If at next midseason we are 60% or less then bye bye if there is a viable other option for coaching.
