Nets have two MVPs and another All-NBAer.
We’re missing three starters.
And yet people fault coaching?
People are faulting both. We're riddled by injury and yet Brad is still reverting to people who shouldn't play (Semi) over those who should (Nesmith).
We're also seeing Nash make good changes in reaction to what we succeed with, while Brad makes no changes to what Brooklyn succeeds with.
Brooklyn succeeds with having elite talent that can improvise. They’re one of the hardest teams to guard in recent history. We don’t have the personnel to play elite offense or elite defense.
That's not the point I was making. The Brooklyn defence adjusted to essentially triple-teaming Tatum on the catch, and Brad left non-shooters like Langford out there when he was doing nothing on either end. I don't expect them to win, the talent disparity is too great, but I do expect the coach to actually show up. It was inexcusable to play the lineup he did in the early 2nd quarter, and that's when the gap went from 3 points to double-digits in a blink.
Stevens routinely displays an inability to manage lineups or stagger his star players well, and is always too slow to react to runs. I'm pretty firmly done with him
