I did not know cbs ever yelled at anybody  :o

Was it the sequence where Romeo fouled a Knick player with 30 sec left in the game, when he didnt have to.  Brad was visibly annoyed/yelled ... Romeo did bark something back.

But I thought it was more like "I didnt know" vs "****".

I wonder if this was a reason why Parker played last night over Langford.

I doubt it. Romeo is a SG, Parker is a PF.

Y’all forget Parker was a #2 overall pick.

This article says the 'incident' happened during the last game of the season against the Knicks, but then Romeo went out and played 14 minutes in the much more important play-in game. My guess is that there is nothing to see here and Danny pretty much confirmed that in the article.

This should have been the last post in the thread, but it wasn’t as people like to continue their pre-written narratives.  Alas.

and there you are contributing to the thread..drawing my response and the thread goes on. See how that works or doesn’t work?

Now the whole team just needs to yell and scream at Brad so eventually the C's can get a new coach  ;)

Goodluck

Danny will trade everyone 1st before firing his son

Danny was asked about this incident and made a joke about it. Touches and Rich.

For all you conspiracy theorists, Romeo played a fair amount during play-in game while Parker sat.

Give it a rest, people.

Was it even Brad that Romeo was yelling at? The article made it seem like they wasn't sure if Romeo was yelling at Brad, a different coach or one of his teammates or even if he said what was quoted.

Quote
In the clip, Celtics guard Romeo Langford, who spent most of the season sidelined with a wrist injury, apparently shouts — or, at least that’s how it’s being interpreted online — “shut the f*** up” towards the Celtics bench, via the Celtics Insiders account on Instagram.

Quote
“You make a mistake and somebody on your team — a player or a coach — yells something at you, you know, to get your head out, and yeah, I’m sure guys mouth that or, at least, have those thoughts all the time,” Ainge added. “It’s not uncommon.”

It doesn’t matter...you cannot yell obscenities at your bench and act like it’s all good. There is a discipline problem with this team, but keep thinking there isn’t.

Not sure how many times I've seen NBA benches "yell obscenities" at each other, but it's countless. And it means absolutely nothing. Trying to paint this out as some discipline problem is as laughable as taking issue with Brad acknowledging that Brooklyn are favourites in this series.

Or not attempting murder because Kyrie burned sage on the Garden Floor.

Or needing to trade Kemba because he smiles even when the team is losing.

Or Brad not being a screaming spectacle on the sidelines like some high school coach.

Or Danny not being able to draft.

Or.....

Or.....

Red herring since that take wasn’t mine, but the take that Brad’s team lacks discipline..yup sign me up for that.

Yeah Kyrie would not burn sage on that floor if he had an ounce of respect for the home team or any of its players. By the way, which C will dare burn sage at Barclays?

Kemba can smile all he wants, he is getting 30 million/yr to play basketball. He should be smiling.

Brad is soft and won’t win with an undisciplined team.

Danny has missed some and won some in the draft. I don’t know anything about basketball yet I thought Tatum was the best player in his draft class. Danny traveled abroad to scout Giannis, but picked Olynyk. Yeah, he missed on that one. Big time.

Some on this board defend Stevens with this argument:

"What do you want ? A screaming, angry coach who yells at players and officials through the whole game ?"

That argument is simply going from one extreme to another, soft & quiet vs a screaming maniac.

No, I want a coach who is in control of the team, who holds players accountable for continuous mistakes, who the players respect and listen to, who doesn't allow bad basketball to continue game after game, who demands effort and who makes his opinion known to officials when needed. Also, a coach who does not allow players to yell at him and disrespect him during practice or games.

This isn't the first such incident and Brad was quoted in the past saying,
"I'm ok with being yelled at."  That is not good.

OK, who will you replace him with?

CBS has taken the C's to 3 of the last 4 ECF, never with a fully healthy team.  He's got a .557 winning percentage and is 36 games over .500 which is pretty good considering his first two seasons he was 17 games below .500.

Look, I think he has flaws, for sure, it's just, I don't see anyone I'd replace him with.
