Clips are down 2-0, so let’s hope for the sweep and Kawhi will become a real option this summer. Picture being Kawhi: Where’s the most sure-fire Big 3 you can join in the East and attempt to win 5-6 titles in a row (because there’s no way he’s staying in the West, just like Harden had to go East)? The answer is obviously Boston with Stevens, Tatum and Brown. If you’re the Clips, Kawhi demands out and you can get Boston’s 2021 1st, 2023 1st, 2025 1st, and Kemba, you’re going to take it considering your next first round pick is in 2027 (!!!). If you’re Kawhi, where else can you build your own dynasty to put yourself up there with LeBron? And what franchise better opposes LeBron’s Lakers? It’s definitely not happening in LA or NY. Miami and here are the only options. If you’re the Clippers, you’d rather see him drive the Lakers nuts by going to the Celtics.

That could be outbid quite quickly I imagine.

The Warriors offering Wiggins, Wiseman and picks would be both epic and terrifying

I'm not sure about this, but I'm not particularly high on Wiggins (isn't he more or less a better Jeff Green in temprement and reliability?) and don't know anything about Wiseman.

It is sure that the trade of Gouki isn't sexy but he meant it was a better offer than what we could offer, especially if you think that Warriors picks in 3 or 4 years are supossed to be high lottery oneswhen ours should still s............; so we can put that in the balance too.

Wiggins is by no means a beauty, but he has significantly improved under the Warriors. More efficient from all over the floor, most importantly from three, playing much better defence, more engaged, and only has two years left on his contract.

I project Wiseman as a DeAndre Jordan type with more range offensively, so I rate him fairly highly. Golden State also have two lottery picks this year. An overpaid 19/5/3 26-year old wing, the reigning number 2 pick and another high pick could be tempting, especially if Kawhi says he's out.

More importantly, it's more attractive than a Kemba + 3 first rounders deal in my opinion

Yeah you two may be right, but I don't think of the Warriors ownership as being afraid to throw money at middle-of-the-road talent to keep their expensive new arena filled, so future picks from Golden State might not be as lottery-bound as they are this year.

Of course this is just pure uninformed instinct speaking, I could be 100% wrong :)

Let’s say Kawhi wants to team up with Tatum/Brown and forces this sign-and-trade to get here:

https://tradenba.com/trades/UBiPkTCpX

Are we good enough to win it all in 2022?

Smart/Pritchard/Edwards/Madar
Brown/Fournier/Langford
Leonard/Nesmith
Tatum/Parker/Williams
TT/Timelord/2021 1st round pick (5/4)

2022 2nd round pick: Euro draft-and-stash

I think it would be Smart in the deal for Leonard.  Well, Smart and picks/players.

No doubt, but pick 5 and 14 this year plus Wiseman and Wiggins would alone be intriguing to me if I'm the Clippers. Get two legit foundational young players (Wiseman and Green/Kuminga/Barnes), a likely solid role player at 14 (Giddey/Mitchell/Wagner), and a serviceable player in Wiggins for two years.

Would be interesting, and Golden State would immediately be terrifying again. Just spitballing because watching the Celtics right now is not so enjoyable ;D

LOL. Danny couldn't trade Kemba for a bag of balls if he wanted to. But somehow, we should debate if Kemba and picks could land the Celtics a top 5 player in the league?

Even Billy King would not be enticed again...hahaha.

I don't see any reality where Kawhi gets traded for Kemba and a couple of mid-late 1st rounders.

Even if that was possible, not sure the deal makes sense, Kemba, Tatum and Brown are too similar IMO.

For this to work i think itd need to be Kawhi for Brown or Tatum.  Kawhi for Brown I'd think about - his defensive ability would be a great compliment for Tatum's offensive talent.  Tatum in my eyes is untouchable.

PG-13 is not a superstar (and talk about an overpay by the Clips),  and we all know what the AD shakedown was.

Really don’t see how this does not get the job done, especially if you throw in a swap on 2027:

Let’s face it: It would be neat to see Rondo at point with our new Big Three of Kawhi, Tatum and Brown.
