Brad should've said "we're the better team and there will be a sweep. It's gonna be the Celtics doing the sweeping"  ;D

Oh wow the bias is shining through with Goldstar and tenn surprise surprise.

Coaches say these stuff to the media all the time. Id rather have this safe response and hope the nets get complacent than give 3 "selfish" superstars a reason to try harder and motivate them. You'd rather he say something that will light a fire under the Nets? This shouldnt even be worth a game thread! People are fools

Yes, much ado about nothing. At this point nothing Brad says to the media should affect his team. They know the task in front of them, I'm sure he's told them. They don't need to hear his opinion via the media. Those pontifications are for us to argue about

“If you love the Nets so much, go coach 'em!”

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Id give an example of a comment made by a coach towards an upcoming opponent

“Jayson and Jaylen, they’re part of that rare breed that we’re all looking for in the NBA, guys who can do everything. They have the size and the speed and quickness to guard every position. They have the skill set to score from any part of the floor. They can make threes, they can get out in transition and hammer dunks, they can score in the half-court using their footwork.”

“What makes them even better is just their human qualities—their work ethic, the chemistry they generate on a team. They’re fun guys to coach, fun guys to play with. But when you have that combination of being a really good person and having that kind of God-given ability, it’s a great combination.”

When a champion coach like Kerr does it its fine, but when its evil Brad its not?  ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)

I can't believe this innocuous bs comment from BS would get 4 pages of concern here.  Or get Perk fired up on ESPN.  this is absurd. Get a life people.

Can you post the quote from Kerr where he said the same about the Lakers stars before their game last night? I mean, they have Lebron and AD. He should be giving them their due credit while also saying that fans should be expecting LA to win the game since the Lakers have such great players.

That’s what I thought.... ;)

Perk is in the entertainment business trying to build his brand. I’m not surprised he latched on to it. Easy 5 min segment to talk about for him  ;D

It isn’t four pages of concern. More like four pages of almost everyone saying nothing to see here, just like you did.

This is one of the most ridiculous string of posts I've ever seen. Brad never said he expects the Nets to win, much like Kerr never said he expected the Lakers to win. Stop trying to invent drama

Wait, Brad suggested that general NBA fans expect to see the Nets win?  And that the Celts need to play well to win?

Outrageous!
