Embiid had the most attempts without a make in a half of a playoff game for the first time in 25 years.  He just edged out Jordan, who in game 4 of the ECF against Miami went 0-11 in the 1st half (the one game the Bulls lost in the series).
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Who do we think is the softer mentally, KD or Embiid? That dude was done really midway through the 2nd. He wasn't getting any calls and just checked out. KD was pretty similar sunday afternoon.

I really like that lineup for the Clippers when they play without a center. Without Zubac or Ibaka.

It is the same concept as the Rockets micro-ball. Just with bigger SF-PF-C bodies in PG13, Kawhi and Marcus Morris. Then Batum at SG. A big PG in Reggie Jackson too. A team better able to maximize micro-ball as a defensive weapon as well as an offensive weapon.

I wouldn't call Embiid soft for that game. He's playing on a torn meniscus and was dragging his leg all night.

Conley missing so many games is just incredibly unfortunate for the Jazz. They were looking completely legit prior to that, and given his age and impending free agency who knows if they get another shot with this group.

Yeah, I feel bad for Utah. A team that has routinely been very good but not good enough. All those Stockton-Malone teams. Then a brief run with Deron-Boozer. Now they are finally back there in a surprise season (at least to me). A team full of good guys. Lacking top star quality players but doing with borderline stars, lots of depth and excellent togetherness.

It would be beautiful to see them pull it off and win their first NBA Championship.

It is one thing to lose and not be good enough. To be beaten by a better team. You can take that. That is sports. That is competition. It is another thing though when you lose because of injury. Because of your best players goes down. That sucks. I hate seeing that.

It feels like so much of the playoffs is exactly that this year too. Usually it is 1 or 2 teams. This year though, it feels like it'll be the odd team that escapes injuries is going to be the one to win. The survivor rather than the best team. I hope it doesn't play out that way. I hope the remaining teams can stay healthy & even better if some of these hurt guys can get back before their series' are over.

correction - it was his attitude that was listed as 'questionable', not his availability   ;)

Embiid now listed as questionable for game 5.

With the injuries to the Sixers, Nets, and Celtics, the Bucks could manage to get to the NBA finals mainly by staying healthy.

Based on absolutely no evidence at all, but I feel as if the condensed off-season is genuinely getting to some teams. Well, mainly those who made deep playoff runs before or feature players who did.

That would suck. I don't want Giannis to win a title until either (a) he learns how to make a jump-shot, or, (b) he plays as an uptempo run and center center that creates one of the most electrifying playing styles in the NBA. I'll take either one. But I want one of them!

It's clearly had an effect.

It was a little tongue-in-cheek. Too bad Silver doesn't actually care about player well-being if it gets in the way of the product
