3/4 of the final 4 teams last season all lost in the 1st round.

Yes and this is why the narrative of "this team is a contender and this team isn't a contender" or "we are not contender until x tears".... don't seem to me based on reality. Was the Heat a contender at the begening of the PO last year ? Were Phoenix, Utah and Philly at the begening of this season ? We have good material, with good mooves, we can hopefully be comptetitive next year, just in taking the right decisions. Then we will need a good mood, but with all the sh..... we have eaten this year, maybe we have some luck next one.

Dunno about most of them but Utah has been up-and-coming for the past few years. Pretty sure they were considered that :)

I've a m8 who's a hardcore Utah fan, so I'm a bit biased.

Looks like Lakers are winning the title this year lol. Just stole home court advantage from Phoenix. Expect them to sweep the rest of the series. Clippers are dead, they were the only team capable to stopping LeBron James. I don't see anyone else in the West beating him.

Commiserations, hope you're not taking the loss too hard.

A great relief to see the Lakers out of the playoffs.  The season  becomes bearable.

Second the first sentence. Now we can root against the Nets without fear.

So two days after saying that Andre Drummond is part of the Lakers’ future plans, Frank Vogel benches him in a do or die game?

Unless my memory is really going, this is the first NBA Finals since Lakers/Celtics 2010 that won't feature either James or Curry.

In other words Lakers down, Nets to go.

Im hoping the Warriors would upset the Fakers for the 7th seed.

I want LA to face the Jazz and get an old fashioned smackdown...if the Fakers get 7th seed im afraid they will make history bu being the first 7th seed to beat a top 2 seed.
The only way the Lakers do not win a 1st round series is if they lose their next 2 games.

Well this didn’t turn out like you thought.

I am so excited the Lakers lost!
Now I can go all in on the BEAT THE NETS chant.

I was holding on that thinking the Nets would be the last line of defense against another Laker title....but now that they are gone

I hope the Bucks win it all.  I love how Gianis stayed in Milwaukee and didn’t join his “buddies” somewhere else.

I'm with you.  I'm pulling for the Bucks.  Did it the hard way; combination of shrewd drafting and trades. Not a bunch of superstars deciding they want to play together.  Underrated front office there.
