Kemba averaged in these playoffs: 12.7 ppg, 4.0 apg, 4.0 rpg, 2.7 turnovers per game. Never played in back-to-backs during the regular season, in hopes of preserving him for the playoffs. Then he ends up missing the last two games of the playoffs because of a boo-boo.

I will take Westbrook every single day of the week over Kemba, and it's not even close. He is an old school type of player that is not on the court to make friends. Kemba, on the other hand, is looking to make play dates in between plays.

I wonder if there's a three-team trade that could be formulated where the C's give up Kemba and a ton of other things, Wiz give up Westbrook and other assets and in the end, Beal comes to Boston. A 3rd team could take on a bad contract if it meant getting back a lot in assets. Would be complicated of course but it's hard to think of a realistic solution at the moment.

Also I don't disagree about Westbrook but it's not like Kemba lit up the world either. I actually think he would have helped a lot more in the BKN series than Kemba did, since Kemba was really bad when he did play and then got hurt the final few games.

Like I actually think Westbrook could have given Kyrie some fits in a few games whereas Kemba didn't.

At least he played.  The Celtics had no threats outside of Tatum.  We need people that the defense will key in on to free up Tatum and the shooters that we hope to have someday.  By virtue of Westbrook playing, I would rather have him than Kemba.

And the Wizards actually won the game that Westbrook shot 15.8% from the field because he was in beast mode on the boards and his assist game was fantastic. 

No one has ever claimed that Westbrook is an efficient scorer, he isn't, but he does get to the line a lot and he is probably the best rebounding guard in the game's history and one of the best passers in the game's history as well.  He is an uber athlete that goes 100% every minute of every game, whether that is the first game of the season or game 7 in the playoffs.  His inefficiency shooting can cost a team wins, but he generally makes up for it with the other facets of his game and is a net positive far more often than he is a net negative. 

It isn't like his post season performances differ from his regular season performances, he is always inconsistent in his shooting because he isn't a good shooter.  So when I've said things like he isn't the reason his teams lost in the playoffs, it is for those reasons.

If the Clips lose to the Mavs in the 1st round, what are they going to do?  They ran off Doc after last year's playoffs.  Who are they going to blame now?  George is signed for several more years but Kawhi is going to be a free agent.

Could definitely see Kawhi bouncing. Maybe he goes to the Warriors on a sign and trade for Wiggins.
