Man, D-Rose :'|

This guy. He was 62% from the field today, 30 points, 60% from 3.

Is there any world in which we swap Kemba for him?
He's a free agent! If we could offload Kemba to New York and throw some money his way...

I wanted us to trade for him before NYK got him :(

He'd be insanely good with our team.

I think him, or Rondo, or MAYBE CP3. Even tho I don't like CP.

Porzingis is not very good at basketball.

He's forced a few offensive rebounds second possessions for his team in the fourth, but he's also had turnovers, badly missed shots, and stalled offensive possessions as he shoots fade away 18 footers over players a foot shorter than him.

If you notice Morris' three three pointers in the fourth, that was also on Porzingis. He was the weakside man that over-rotated and did not have the speed to stunt or recover. Great coaching by Lue. Some coaches isolate bad defenders by forcing switches on an island against great scorers. Lue (or Rondo or Leonard) isolated Porzingis on the weakside and blew the game open with wide open looks.

No interest in having Derrick Rose on my team

Malone is a very good coach

I love the way he coaches big men. The way he uses them as centers - as in center to everything they do. Everything revolves around them. The way it should be.

He did the same in Sacramento with Cousins. They ran the offense through him in the high post and used him as a facilitator similar to how they use Jokic. Jokic is just more dynamic than Cousins and can do even more than Cousins could with the basketball.

Malone uses skilled centers properly. The rest of the league needs to pay attention to what he does and reorganize their offense to use their skilled size the right way. So many teams have skilled big men that are being mis-used / not taught the game the right way. It is awful.

There is nothing more beautiful in basketball than skilled size being utilized within a team concept.

Just to bang on a Celtics-centric angle on this:

This is how Rob Williams should be developed. Not be Jokic or Cousins but to be like Joakim Noah. To be what Noah was to the Bulls offense 7-8 years ago. Everything ran through him. Noah had high level passing skills and decision making. Rob Williams has similar qualities but they are not being properly developed because Brad Stevens (like most NBA coaches) has no clue how to coach big men.

Not every team needs a 20-10-5 big to use bigs better. They need to properly evaluate their skills and understand how to incorporate them within the offense. So many big men in the league today are getting underutilized because of bad coaching.

They are running stuff through williams. The main problem is williams was never healthy long enough for him to really develop any chemistry or rhythm at all. Even on the games he played he is hobbled and has had to play limited minutes. If you watch esp on games williams started they are running stuff through him. Also baloney on that because when we had Al we ran everything through him. Its a personnel thing.

I’m curious too. He’s old and a bit injury-prone, and isn’t spectacular on defence, but he seems to be a good quiet leader and positive locker room presence. As well as a 6MOY candidate.

Am I missing / forgetting something?

Honestly..if we had Rose right now instead of Kemba...now way we lose this series

Rose has for some reason managed to turn the hands of time and has been giving the Knicks some quality play...now i know itvaint gonna last as he very injury prone but all im saying is his current play is enough for us beat the Nets...Kemba is just giving us absolutely NOTHIng on offense...yes he is all heart right now but we need a 5 for 8 from three instead of the egg he keeps laying.

I guess it's because most of his offensive value comes on the ball? Kemba also needs the ball to maximise his skillset, but he can cut, run off screens and attack quickly off the catch, which complements the Jays pretty nicely.

Shoot if we had Rose instead of Walker this whole season we wouldn't be a #7 seed. We'd probably be a 3 or 4 seed.

Heat barely grasping to their lead in the 3rd. I think MIL is gonna steal this one and the series.
