on a positive note, smart is showing everyone that herro absolutely sucks at defense. good to know.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

At least get your hands up, Kemba.  You just let him have that.

Grant Williams makes me miss Semi

I want to keep Semi over G-Will for next season as our 3rd string PF. I don't want both back and I value Semi more than G-Will. I like what Semi brings to the table as a limited low end 3&D role player.

Kemba is really hunted down and tortured on defense.

They get a mismatch against our defense almost every play and sometimes 2 of them.

Maybe we should stop switching.

Double digit deficit once again. This team is so typical.

Herro and Robinson can be gone at every time down the floor. Same as last year. Why wasn't that the move from the start?

Semi can at least hit an open 3 every once and a while.

?
I think I made myself pretty clear.

That would mean doing something different.

Simple analysis of first quarter - one team showed up and played hard with energy and intensity, and the other didn't.

Honestly I don't think energy is the problem.  And that's even worse.  You can fix poor energy... just play harder.  But I think this team's offense is predictable and its defense is broken, and that's a lot harder to fix.

Not if you have a coach.

They look like a group of guys who have barely practiced together, trying to run complex defensive schemes. Which, in essence, is what they are. They look in preseason mode whereas Miami looks in playoff form.

Really? The regular season is nearly over and lack of practice is still being used as an excuse..

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Characteristic of an actual coach with an actual gameplan actually doing his job and coaching the team.

Meanwhile, Miami presents us with numerous defensive weak links, yet Brad is content with having our guys iso, iso, iso away out there. And that's not even mentioning our defensive futility and Brad refusing to make any changes from the ridiculous automatic switching and doubling non-sense.

Brad absolutely should be on the hot seat this summer. The team's struggles are not all on Brad - injuries, some roster imbalances, and some individual play/effort concerns also played a role - but the majority of our issues are due to poor management of the players, awful gameplanning and in-game management, and completely inept offensive and defensive schemes.

It was.  Tatum is continually trying to isolate on Duncan Robinson.  But Miami is giving him help in the paint, so the only shots that Tatum is actually able to get out of that mismatch have been these sidestep threes.  And when we find the open man instead, they miss.
