Why can't PP play and shoot more?

There is a discussion in another thread whether the Cs are soft or not. But this guy is absulutely not soft. Whether we are winning or losing he keeps his head up.  Ship Kemba next season and give the starting job to PP.

He is as tough as a rusty nail....credit Liam for that description.

Stevens needs to run every play he's got to get shots for Brown and Pritchard.  Because it's clear that nobody else on the active roster tonight is capable of making a shot.  The rest of the team is a combined 7-29.

Sad that this is what we look like against the freaking Thunder, but here we are.

You mean he should ride the hot hand? That will be revolutionary, won’t it?

Not again!

C’s have 7 assists at the half. Pathetic. You bring Parker in for scoring and he has zero shot attempts... Smh

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Brown gets mugged with no call ALL THE TIME.

I'ma keep banging that drum all season.

He can't buy a foul.

I've been banging that for 3 years!

Man, I've seen some really nasty looking rumours about why. They're all non-basketball-related.

Let's hear 'em.

This made me realize I shoulda probably not mentioned anything in the first place.

But they're all "political".

You know why Pritchard will get major playoff minutes as a rook?

It's his defense. Watch him carefully. He almost always makes the right switch. He is almost always in the right position. He is great at closing out threes. And he uses his body excellently in pushing drivers away from the basket when guarding them as they drive to the basket. His effort is nonstop.

Yes, due to athleticism, he does get blown by a bit too often, but that happens to all guards, Smart included.

Payton's offense has been awesome, but it's his defense that will be getting him more minutes.

From the start, Stevens should’ve played Pritchard 30 + minutes a game. He’s too talented not to.

Heckuva find by Ainge. Huge for us going forward

It's because he plays hard every minute he's on the court. I've been surprised by his defense since the beginning of the year. That's the one thing that I thought would hold him back but he's solid.

Does the same go for Tatum? He doesn’t get calls either.

At least 25 every game. He's earned it.

I predicted smart would make 4 shots tonight and he's half way there.

Smart is 2-9 and Fournier 1-6.  At home.

With all the b!tching that goes on in these game threads I can't help but wonder where the hate is for Fournier. Fournier hasn't been bad since coming back, he's been atrocious.

Sure some will say you have to be patient because he is just coming back from an extended bout with Covid, but there was no patience with Kemba on his return and the same for Tatum when he struggled after Covid.

Why does Fournier get a pass? He's been beyond horrible on both ends. Heck, if Grant missed a three by 2 feet, missed a dunk and sucked on defense you guys would be ready to cut his ass at halftime.

Why is Evan getting a pass?

He started off bad when he first joined the Celtics, before hitting 10 3s in a row. Waiting patiently for that guy to return.  We need him.
