Celtics -minus- two all stars and a very good NBA center = .500 team...sort of.

This last batch of games is going to be odd as teams rest stars and the like along with this season's total goofball "5 teams within two games of each other" standings jockeying...

The Knicks have won 8 in a row, did you hear me? The Knicks and the Hawks are never going to lose again!

Let's get the lads together again and reduce the number of minutes being given to the assorted benchers....except for Pritchard as long as he keeps shooting the lights out that is.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Why can't Brad just take some responsibility for bad rotations in his interview?

Tatum and Smart have single-handedly lost this game for the Celts. Smart is a turnover machine and Tatum constantly forces plays instead of including his teammates in the offense.

I mean, without Tatum's 38 and 10 this is a 20+ point blowout, and without Smart's third quarter offense it's the same story. Tatum, PP, and Smart kept them in this. It's the overall weakness of the supporting cast and our injuries that really doomed us.

No. Even if fully healthy, Tatum and Smart would still be repeatedly making these dumb plays that lose games. They can have a good game and eliminate their dumb decisions at the same time -  not mutually exclusive.

The supporting cast may have less talent, but they can keep the ball moving and contribute when allowed to. Plus, the bench has been upgraded with Parker and Fournier and improved play from Thompson and Pritchard.
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

Health is a major factor because when you have your core guys out there and practicing together enough, those type of miscommunication errors don't happen. When you have a different group of guys out there on any random night, guys that have rarely had a chance to run through the plays together, two of them in Fournier and Parker who just joined the team, yeah, that stuff is gonna happen no matter how good you are.

Romeo was so promising when he got back. That kid needs a major confidence boost. I think the talent is there, he just looks hesitant on the offensive end. The same could be said of Neismith. I mean they do all the nitty gritty hustle plays but scoring the ball has been scarce. Maybe more minutes and offensive plays for them could get them going?

The whole game comes down to that 2nd quarter. Boston let up on defense and the Nets got hot and there was a near 20 point swing in just a few minutes.

I thought they did well to stay close when Tatum sat. They played great defense in three quarters. Smart and Pritchard did what they could offensively to help Tatum.

But that 2nd quarter. Man. Just terrible.

Not gonna worry about this game to much. Sure it sucks and we definitely could do better, but guys were out, some guys are shaking off rust, team as a whole are unfamiliar with each other and we are forcing players to play off role.
