I would think it'd be harder to find a reason for anyone, not just Bird, not to hate Laimbeer.

Laimbeer was doing his job and that is the way they played.   I hated his guts with a passion.  I got to meet him and he was not a bad dude in real life but on the court, lookout.  If he could move by you and or knock into you he would do the latter.  He was a wrestling heel come to life on the court a professional instigator or goon.

Laimbeer was king of dirty .

He might have been the one person who could get under Birds skin .
