Tatum with 53 points and a plus/minus of 0 for the game. Sums him up perfectly. All style, no substance.

You said that a few pages ago but the copy & paste failed you because he finished +5.

TP, beat me to it :)

How is it Embiid only goes to foul line 4 times vs New Orleans tonight?  What is it about us??

Not to mention he played a bunch of his minutes with Kemba... no offense to Kemba he was great in OT but his defense is nonexistent.

I wonder what Tatum’s +/- was when he had like 46 up 13 or whatever it was with 3 mins left.

I'm not sure why Kemba can play 40 minutes and not be able to play in a back to back.

The win is the substance....

I don't think his +/- reflects his contribution, we don't win this game without him. And I loved his shot profile, he took 10 3FGAs and 16 FTAs, so he was driving the ball a lot. He kept us in the game in the 2nd half. And it wasn't the usual diet of isos, he cut to the basket to receive passes, he came off screens, and he had 10 rebounds and 4 assists. A very solid game. The team made 32 assists, obviously there was an extra 5 minutes but that's still a lot, and we took 34 FTAs.

They clearly still have a lot to work on, they fell behind early, had low energy, their defense was terrible, it took halftime and most of the 3rd for them to regroup, then they nearly gave it away when MN made that 8-0 run at the end to tie the game...but at least they didn't fold under adversity this time. That's probably what I'm most pleased about, it was an ugly win but they didn't let their heads drop. We need these ugly wins because these are the ones we've been losing.
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

OK then, he had 50 and a 0 plus/minus. late in the game. To me, that says a lot and not good.

Easier to keep going when you're warm. Much, much harder to start again the next day after you cool down and ache.

Would you take 30 with a plus 10 in a loss?

I think the inconsistency of Kemba scoring is due to the odd way he is used ,  he needs to play every game to keep a Confident rhythm going .

It takes him several quarters to get back in the groove.

Makes some sense.

This isn't how plus/minus works at all.

It's not meant to analyze a player's performance in a single game.  It's more useful over a much larger sample, but even then it's not perfect.

No, and that's not the point at all.
