We no longer have a guy who can even slow down embiid.
Plus the GM did a great job with the talent while DA fell a sleep this summer.

I’d love to get big Al here again in the off-season for that reason alone.

TT was completely abused by Embiid the last couple of games so I don’t count him even though he’s out tonight.

JT and JB are our all stars. They should at least play some defense and show some effort because their teammates are gonna feed off of that. The offense can desert you at times but the D should always be there. It’s just a lack of effort really.

Tacko being there has forced Embiid to shoot 3s at least

It's a legit strategy.  He is an exponentially worse player the further he gets from the rim.  And he's a different player when he can't bully opponents with his size.

Tako gave us good minutes.  No complaints from me...
did better than I expected.  gave Embiid some hesitation on offense which surprised me considering how easily he got that foul on Tacko

Philly knows how to play us. Swarm JT and JB and make their shots difficult. They won't pass or try to involve others, so it comes down to making incredibly difficult shots.

Celtics FG 48.6%  3PT 7 for 17
Philly FG 50% 3PT 6 for 14

Benches
Celtics 40 minutes 14 points
Philly 40 minutes 15 points

Philly looks pretty bad tonight...Celtics look worse. C's should heat up from outside. Philly is still in the locker room trying to decide how to deal with Tacko..."Doc, what do we do with Tacko?"

8 assists, 14 TOs. Ballhandling and passing have been like that of a G-League team. Special shout out to Smart's 1 assist and 5 TOs.

We're beating ourselves.

can't decide if I should feel encouraged or disappointed after that first half.  C's didn't play particularly well with the barrage of turnovers and the inexplicable dry spell on offense but yet they're not out of this game.  Philly just doesn't impress or scare me as an opponent.  Philly did seem to enjoy a kind whistle in their favor so far.

More Pritchard shooting and handling....

More Tacko being big!

Line up of Tacko, Kornet, Tatum, Brown, Pritchard!

I think with Fornier and TL no in foul trouble, this would be a different game

Brad played 12 guys in the first half. Just running a hockey line up tonight.

It would be hard to play worse than we did in the first half. And the refs usually try to keep the score close in the second half of nationally televised games. So I'm cautiously optimistic.

good point on Fournier.  would have been another scorer to use with Tatum shooting worse than a bent pea shooter

Philly knows how to play us. Swarm JT and JB and make their shots difficult. They won't pass or try to involve others, so it comes down to making incredibly difficult shots.

This. Plus if they do kick out, it’s almost always late and results in a turnover. They should learn to pass once they see the double coming, instead of trying to get by both defenders and try to score on a difficult shot.

Certainly seems to be one of the calling cards this season.
