The fact that Danny has held his core together .Evan Fournier going to be solid and gives us a 6-7 wing.Rob Williams scares me when he dives for loose balls because of his injury history.I hope he is now tuned into his body..
Theis was also a Ainge find  and now Yam Madour.
.
Now its Payton Pritchard .Last year Romeo was coming on but no rush now with Fournier. Grant and Semi both strong as an ox both have their roles.
Marcus all NBA defense and Jay and Jason both all stars. And will see how Rozier performs tonight without Hayward..

I appreciate the positivity man. Lotta chicken littles nowdays. Myself included at times.
My pic is now, and will be Fab Melo until he posts his first official NBA dbl-dbl. This may be permanent.

Danny does love his recent picks. I think he easily sees Smart, Brown, Tatum, Timelord, as a core he wants long term. I also think Ainge is hoping Nesmith, Langford and Pritchard can develop and become a talented bench.

Add that Kemba and Fournier for at least 2 more years, if Evan re-signs long term, which I hope he does, and that is a team that can make a run at a title.

Me, I would not shop, but maybe test the market in the off-season as to what Kemba, Smart, one of the youth, the TPE and draft picks can get you to upgrade that #3 option or the bench. Do we have the assets to upgrade to a player that would be better than Kemba or upgrade from Smart? Do we have enough assets to turn the rookie potential into playoff proven, veteran production?

I'm not a guy that loves dreaming up trade scenarios now for what might happen in the off-season, but if the Celtics can re-sign Fournier long term, I would very much try to see what moving the likes of Pritchard, Langford, Nesmith and picks can get them for important bench roles.

I think he has to pick one to keep, Tatum or Brown. He adds a couple pieces if one is traded away. Preferably gets a defensive big as one of those pieces.

Kemba healthy is a great scoring PG who fits with Smart, Tatum, and Williams. Pritchard is a knockdown shooter and a great bench fit to go with Fournier and Langford.

From there, he needs another bench upgrade down low. If he can get two positions of need out of a Jaylen Brown trade, he needs to do it.

This roster is setup nicely if he adds the right pieces with a trade of his all star.

My thought: Unless KAT is walking through that door, Jaylen Brown at PF is better and more dynamic than any PF we would acquire in a Brown trade.

Also, we did acquire a couple of pieces at the deadline. Getting that 4th scorer in Fournier and now a healthy Langford should really help bolster the bench. We still have $11M left in TPE and can even trade for a max contract using Smart/TT/Nesmith/picks. I just don't know why we would trade Brown for pieces. A Brown return would need to be massive.

Whenever you are trading a dollar bill for four quarters or 2 50 cent pieces in the NBA, you are losing the trade.

Trading Brown for two bench pieces is ludacris

+1.  DA isn't trading Brown, Tatum, or Timelord anytime soon.  It just isn't happening.  Those 3 guys + Smart are the core of our team now.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Well the C's better avoid Brooklyn in the first-round or second-round. I think they should be fine if they get the 6th or 7th seed...go in to #2 or #3 seed and potentially upset them, and then play the next weaker seed in the next round.

Milwaukee looks pretty beatable-- I think we have their number this year. Philly...they could look beatable in the playoffs too if this team plays perfect and don't play hero ball lol.

Bench pieces ? No, I’m saying two solid additions. Namely a starting big and a big for the bench. Maybe even a first rounder to go with it.

If the right fit is there, he will for sure make a trade. Tatum/Brown are redundant. He can add 3/4 pieces using either one of them. If he package is right, he should do it.

Hopefully we are growing a team like San Antonio . Danny reacted quickly getting Thomas and Rozier was one of his favorites. He got us Kyrie an otherworldly talent but a head case.
Horford came,Gordon came .Theis found in Europe and Marcus Morris played his role.
This team with Rob Williams  now has to lose isp ball run the ball through the high post taking advantage his passing skill and  fine tuning will come with Fournier being a invaluable piece.
Brad has a a tough time and true to character stayed calm and let Danny do his thing.Get Fournier for two second round picks, open up space and salary cap.
This team is still fragile from injuries and Covid .The test of overcoming adversity and it was horrible to watch.
Danny did his job didn't destroy what they have been building by bringing in mercenaries
