Would like to see some ideas as to who you think would be a good coach to hire in the case Brad Stevens is no longer the coach.

I'm not stating that Stevens should be fired or he should leave but he is walking on thin ice at the moment

Candidates I like

- John Stockton. HOF that would warrant respect.  I heard good things about his coaching approach.  Brogdon and Kidd had lots of positive things to say when he came to help out in camp several years ago.   The issue is no real coaching experience just like Steve Nash.   On the flip side Nash has done  a tremendous job without KD.  Even got through Irving.

- Paul Pierce with Perkins and Scal as assistants.   Pierce was a tactician when he was a player.  He and Scal would worry about Xs and Os, preparation and game plan.  Perkins take on the Udonis Haslem role.

- Mark Jackson.  It will be a sight to see Scal have pregame talks with Jackson like he has with Brad lol.   But tbh I think it could be time he gets a 2nd chance.  Its been ages since the "drama" happened.  He was a fantastic player and a pretty good coach minus the drama with Scal and Erman.

- Tony Bennett and Jay Wright are two highly rated college coaches.  Have won championships. But would the players on the team respect them/any different than how it is with Stevens?

Becky Hammon.

The C's were the first team to

- hire a black coach
- draft a black player
- start 5 black players

Would love us to be the first team to hire a woman head coach as well. She has been working alongside Pop since 2014. I bet she's ready to take the next step.

Who is your candidate?

Please no Mark Jackson. Next you'll be suggesting Chris Webber!  ;)

Webber hates Boston ...ever listened to his comments...biased to the core .

Now ...kG should be invited and hired in ANY capacity, in any description he would want ....just his intense demeanor , just his presence around the team would help .  Smart would have to chained down ...LOL

KG would be a terrible coach.  I firmly believe that.

Stevens is now and should be for a long time the coach.  No reason to even speculate on anyone else.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Bigs - Shaquille O'Neal, Victor Wembanyama
Wings -  Lebron James
Guards - Luka Doncic

For those advocating Paul Pierce as next Celtics coach, not sure posting video high on weed while young ladies are twerking in the background is going to sell Danny Ainge or Wyc on him. Pretty embarrassing.

Lol

He was at a club?

So he is not allowed to have fun

The younger guys may be more receptive to him vs much older coach

Hire Mike Malone away from Denver.  Or Quin Snyder from Utah.

Just tossing out names of ex-players thinking they would be great coaches is an insult to folks that have put in their time to hone their coaching skills.
