Screw these refs. Total blown call by the refs then they punish Smart for their own mistakes.

So incompetent. Makes NBA about unwatchable.
Smart doesn’t deserve the benefit of the doubt. He’s a flopper. The refs know it. They aren’t gonna call that.

He's a two-time 1st Team All-Defense who's about the best in the league at drawing those types of fouls. Yeah, he deserves the benefit of the doubt there, especially someone like Adams who does that kind of stuff all the time with how big he is.
No, he literally doesn’t. Refs were letting them play all night. They weren’t going to call that. Plus, then Smart has a temper tantrum because he played like trash and couldn’t handle it like an adult.
Except they were calling charges all night, and less obvious ones than that. If you're seriously defending that as a no-call then... I don't really have much to say
I’m saying the refs are who they are. There were a million other plays you could argue about as well. If you’re banking on drawing up a play to win get a foul, you’ve already lost. That wasn’t the reason they lost. They lost this game in the 3rd quarter. Plain and simple.

Smart has some blame for the shaqtin a fool play plus bricking 3 after

But the problem was Fournier

Brad should have stopped going back to him. Tonight was not his night

When will Brad understand  .. sometimes its not these players nights

Brad probably didn’t want to destroy Fourniers confidence and his teammates confidence in him by yanking him on debut. Then he might ruin him for the rest of the season, not just tonight.

Exactly. We're gonna need the guy to get going, so he has to keep shooting. It's his 1st game on a new team after almost 7 years in Orlando. I'll allow him debut game nerves.
2021 Houston Rockets

SF: Gordon Hayward/Demar Derozan

C: Kristaps Porzingis/Bobby Portis/James Wiseman

Feel bad for Fournier. Not so much for Smart. Tatum was awesome.

Zion is the real deal.

When your three guards shoot 14 -43. EF, Kemba and Smart shoot 14-43.

I actually thought drawing up a play to get a foul pre toss in was quite intelligent. That's out of the box thinking. I liked it. It should have worked.

Bad play call when the refs are just screwing you hard all night.

No Kemba had a bad debut too last year...Fournier will get over it. I understand why Brad stuck with him though, he wants Fournier to feel he has his back even through adversity for the long haul

Honestly I thought he was going to start the game. Benching him probably put more pressure on him as he’s used to starting games.

If they stay healthy, they're a serious problem.  I still question whether Zion's body holds up.  But the dude is a monster.  I thought we defended him reasonably well tonight and the dude still put 28 on 50% shooting on us.  His ability to carve space and finish around the basket is incredible.  Everybody knows what he wants to do on the court but nobody can stop him from doing it.
