I wish we'd had Javonte during the lean years of the mid-late 90s / early 00s so he could have just gotten mad volume shots and drives. Would there have been turnovers? Sure. Would it have been fun?

Semi O couldn't do any of this stuff if you paid him (wait, we do):

I also think he's underrated for his hustle taps / saves / O rebounds / defensive energy, etc. I'll miss you dood!

Semi is a rotation player. Green played in what 4 games while being on the Celtics? He’s a G-League level player that was a waste of a roster spot. Semi can at least play solid D and is shooting 39% from 3pt. There’s a reason why he plays and Javonte didn’t. Now if they can just find a way to get rid of Edwards and Grant Williams...

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Poor man's Tony Allen, perhaps?  That includes the "Good Javonte" / "Bad Javonte" dichotomy, just like with Tony.

As for Semi...  He's got extreme athleticism:

I don't know why he's become strictly a spot-up shooter.  Can't we run the occasional lob play for him?

He's just so robotic. Struggles to dribble. When he doesn't stuggles to fluidly finish.

Point here was not to talk about Semi. Much like there's a joy of watching Bob Williams fly around, I felt the same about Javonte. I enjoyed his time here, but wish he'd taken it to the basket a bit more. I'd taken him over just about any 15th man any day!!

[dang], I didn’t know he had hops like that. Not sure he still does, though. Too much lifting. It’s weighing him down.. :P
